That’s a water-jetpack — it’s quite different from the “hoverboard”. As the video embedded in the article shows, the “hoverboarder” stands on the board, and controls it much like Marty McFly controlled the hoverboard he borrowed. The water-jetback is supposed to be like the jetpacks that many people dreamed of flying. You too can be a Rocketman! Both devices would probably be exhilarating to ride.
I believe there was a Freeper here a few years ago who was the father of one of the guys to refine this product and start a company marketing it.
