True story 10:45 AM 9-11-13 Washington DC

I read that they/we were denied the right to ride at 6:30 Tuesday evening..
By 7:00 pm I was packed and on the road to Washington, DC..523 miles away and also pi*$ed.

I didn’t know of anybody around me that was going so I took off. Up the road was I 85 North about 30 miles away.
I knew I would find some riders on the way but I was wrong.
I drove 7-8 hours and took a short 3 hours break, then back on the road for 4-5 more hours..This was 70 plus mph in the dead of night. Other riders lights would have helped out.
Still NOT a bike in sight until Richmond.
I fell in with a few and rode on in towards Washington, DC with about 15 min. to spare.

It was wall to wall traffic 3-4 lanes deep at 65-70mph outside the beltway.
so.....Still not knowing and having no new information about a having a permit.... it started..but I didn’t start it... my Harley did.
I didn’t know it but she was pi%s off to..

My back tire didn’t just go down, O no..that would be to easy.
Now mind you this was a new tire with no more than a 50 miles on it.
That tire blew out big time and bikes and cars close by scattered..breaks came on tying up 3 lanes of traffic. This of course was to gave me lots of room for that time delay crash that was coming.
They just knew it was going to be a big one..

Ha...I fool them all, I road that puppy to a stop against (near) a guard rail.
First TRAFFIC DELAY (maybe) Time was 10:45 am Wednesday morning 9-11-13
I did my job..it was meant to be..really..

why you asked?
Because before I could thank God and breath again Henry
pulling a trailer, with a ramp pulled in and jump out. Said need some help? I said ya.

Long story short.
Henry and I loaded that 800 pounds of Harley up and then set it off at a H.D. shop 2 blocks away.
It took 4 hours to change the tire and cost what I normally pay for 2.. put on.. That’s when I learned that they got their permit.. Good for them.

Yea, I missed the ride but I got me a hell of a story.
Slowing traffic down like I went up there to do in the first place worked..Maybe next time I can do it my way..
Maybe I can win a patch. I was only 10 to 15 min. early..

The Main Stream Media doesn't have to cover this. What's important is that DC knows that there are so many true Patriots out there just on motorcycles to make such a statement. Motorcyclists are a small majority of conservatives principles.

Now think how many more bikers couldn't make the ride and the millions more who silently sit in their homes who support them.

This actually gives me hope. Patriots are getting tired of being put down; sh*t on; losing their liberties; and in general being subjugated to the ever growing Fedgov. That many bikers (mostly Veterans) who pull together that quickly is a good sign of things to come.

But then, Senator Reid probably thinks them as "anarchists" as he said recently about the TEA Party orgs. He and his ilk (RINO's included) in Congress are scared. They need to demonize all who oppose their elite Fedgov control. They always think they know better how we should live our lives, but never make our lives better.

Don't smoke this; don't drink that; don't eat certain foods; don't have a self-defense weapon; and on and on it goes with the Fedgov. Except for a rare few ever adhere to the limited Fedgov intrusion in our lives as provided for the United States Constitution and the Amendments.

Do they not ever read about the specific "enumerated" Fedgov powers of the Constitution? Do they not read about the Amendments that supercede the body of the Constitution? Do they not understand that Amendments are contractual law?

To the totalitarians, it's always about the "General Welfare" clause and/or the "Interstate Commerce" clause. They never bother to read back when the Founding Fathers were discussing those clauses and understand their ORIGINAL INTENT. Can you say Federalist Papers? Anti-Federalist Papers? FF's publications, personal correspondence, diaries, and other comments? I can. Yet, our so-called leadership since Reagan doesn't get their point.

THE CONSTITUTION is not a "living document".
It is a societal compact which is the law of the land.

I will support it until the day I die. Why? Because I took an Oath to defend something I believe in and will NOT renege on that Oath. Deal with that NSA.

Last thought: The Supreme Court has too much power. They have spun and twisted and created new law by their legal beliefs of what the FF's Original Intent meant. Their problem has always been that they distort such Intent because of legal wrangling .

Obamacare penalty is NOT a tax! It is what it says in the some 2000 pages, a penalty, much like the IRS can assess penalties. Even the writers and leadership admitted that's not a tax, but a penalty. Where Justice Roberts got a tax is beyond me. And yes, I read his opinion.

Maybe the conspiracy folks have it right - Roberts was blackmailed. Again, the USSC has too much power. Wish the FF's could have written there Intent more clearly. Still, they did the best for their time and couldn't foresee future professional politicians and ideological judges.

Excellent post.

I won’t attempt to match your eloquence, but there can be no doubt that the statists(be they R or D) goal is total control of our lives. Their infernal meddling has caused so much continuing pain and suffering, and all of it needlessly.

It never occurs to any of them that being a control freak is to be an enemy of liberty. As such they are a far more dangerous foe than any external threat. After all, they are inside the gates.
