California is the communists capitol of America. Living in the land of illegals, Democrats, and communists is frighting.

There are several federal court challenges to Kalifornia's infringements. They are tied up in the Ninth Circus Court of Appeals.

Based on an expectation that the Nordyke case would clarify the application of the Second Amendment to Kalifornia, the Ninth Circus held up several cases waiting for a decision in Nordyke.

Nordyke was also delayed, I think, by the Heller and McDonald decisions which changed the criteria that the Ninth Circus must use in deciding Second Amendment cases.

After about ten years of litigation in Nordyke, Alameda County basically folded on their prohibition against having gun shows on county property as long as potential customers were not allowed to handle the guns ( or some such nonsense).

Now the several cases which were waiting on Nordyke have to be prepared to argue from scratch regarding the Second Amendment since the Nordyke outcome didn't result in a clear decision as to how the right to keep and bear arms should apply in Kalifornia.

If I have misstated any of this I welcome correction.

At least one sheriff is being sued to overturn "may issue" of concealed carry permits. The state laws defining "assault weapons" are being challenged as unlawfully vague by a plaintiff that has been arrested TWICE for possession of a rifle which was NOT an "assault weapon". Another case argues the unconstitutionality of the gun roster which limits gun purchasers to only handguns which have been approved by the State.

There may be others which I have lost track of. I think the oral arguments before the Ninth Circus was almost a year ago on one of these cases. For this reason, I think it likely that cases from other states will reach the Supreme Court before any of the Kalifornia cases.

CA hasn’t been America for a long time.

By area, 7/10 of California still is. It's the coastal cities that are killing us.

Many thanks for the info. Good to know. Very frustrating that we are essentially refighting the Revolutionary War this time from the Marxists. Again, where is Congress? I understand the 14th Amendment, but at some point it seems the feds should step up and enforce the Constitution and not allow citizens to be constantly harassed and bullied.

The U.S. Senate is in the hands of anti-gun liberals and the Executive Branch is controlled by communists.

With the Heller and McDonald decisions it seems to me that Congress could exercise some control over infringements. That would not necessarily be a good thing at this time.

you will have to register it with the CA government as a dreaded "assault weapon" or you will be a criminal.

Then I would be a criminal. There shall be no ex post facto laws.

Serious question. What is the point of even trying to be a law abiding citizen when they make these ridiculous laws? Each time you obey their law, they come back in another year with a more onerous law.

They are not trying to stop criminals; they are trying to criminalize law abiding citizens. F them.

Why are there never any federal court challenges to all this anti-American crap they do in CA?

I agree, it appears California is exempt from the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. When do we have standing as discriminated US citizens?
