I remember when that happened. I think the Shah had some kind of medical crisis at the time.
In came the mullahs and that was the start of the fall, IMHO.
Just when I think my contempt for McCain cannot increase any more......
WWIII...
I have little nieces and nephews. I'm hanging by my fingernails hoping that the world will be a better place for them as they grow up...that there will not be a WWIII...
And when I think of them and their innocence I weep and pray and support the good guy politicians - what few there are - and groups like the Tea Party and Free Republic...
"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty."
---Thomas Jefferson---
P.S. There is a website that lists some of Jefferson's famous, and not so famous quotes.

Reuters Patricia Zengerle reports: leaders of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee said they reached an agreement on Tuesday on a draft authorization for the use of military force in Syria. Among other provisions, the draft, which was obtained by Reuters, sets a 60-day limit on military action in Syria, with a possibility for a single 30-day extension subject to conditions.
It also includes a provision banning any use of U.S. armed forces on the ground in Syria, according to the draft document, which is due to be voted on by the committee on Wednesday. If it is approved by the committee, it would be sent to the full Senate for a vote after members return on Sept. 9 from their August recess.

Botox.
That's a real brain trust there - a trifecta. One thing really missing is Biden.
History repeats itself, in 1963, Oswald was a patsy, in 2013, Assad is a patsy. Note how similar their names are?
Can’t believe JB acts this way, friend of mine is in his district. Man-Alive, he’s unhappy.

Probably won't be until tomorrow.
