I went to a Clemson game today where Graham was given some sort of plaque honoring his support of the University. He was there to accept it and when they said his name he was booed. He’s in trouble in the upstate for sure.

Thank you for the update.

Here’s part of an email I got from Linda yesterday:

What a whirlwind week!

Lindsey Graham 7 cities. 5 days. Thousands of constituents. 598 miles in my 2005 Ford Crown Victoria (so the odometer is now over 228,000!).

It kicked off with the 34th Chapin Labor Day Parade, where over 50 volunteers spent their holiday in the heat walking with me, waving signs, and showing their support for my re-election campaign. What a great way to begin the week!

From there we went across the state talking with constituents, local business leaders, elected officials, military leaders, and Republican activists in Chapin, Goose Creek, Sumter, Charleston, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, and Greenville. We even squeezed in the season finale baseball game of the Charleston Riverdogs! (To view photos from some of the events, click the linked city name.)

We talked about a wide range of issues including Obamacare, foreign policy, and the devastating across-the-board cuts to our military known as sequestration.

But I heard one major theme over and over: President Obama’s failed policies are hurting our state and country. And I completely agree.

Obamacare is a complete disaster, and it’s hurting our economy. I am a proud co-sponsor of Senator Ted Cruz’s bill to defund Obamacare, and I plan to re-introduce legislation later this month to allow states to opt-out of Obamacare (click here to learn more).

President Obama’s failed foreign policy, which seems to be “don’t be ‘Bush’ at all costs,” is hurting our country, emboldening Radical Islamic terrorists, and confusing our allies throughout the world. President Obama’s weakness is the reason our options left in Syria are bad and worse. America needs to lead, and we need bold and decisive leaders like Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush.

It was great to see so many people across South Carolina this week, and it’s an honor to represent you in the United States Senate.

Sincerely,

Lindsey Graham

Isn’t it interesting that he praises himself after the visits? I never received advance notice of these visits. Clearly, Linda has no desire to meet people like me on the campaign trail.
