I've never watched their show either. lol
It's kind of a shock to just now hear about Alexander leaving. I've become somewhat of a regular caller to both his local offices and DC.

While I want to believe the Robertsons are God fearing conservatives I get the uneasy feeling they are close to Carter in many respects including political. Seems to me Phil said something nice about Jimmah.
That said the show is fantastic and the story of the Robertsons is essentially correct. My hat is off to them.
And as far as Willie running...cool.

I had the opportunity to meet Jimmah's brother Billy. He was an alright dude and the direct opposite of Jimmah.

Yes, but he also had success in leadership roles prior to political office.
It is those whose only apparent skill is acting that I question wanting them in political office.

Alexander, expressing frustration with divided government, is going to work in Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal's cabinet. He will leave at the end of September and a special election will be held to fill the open seat. Got to wonder what's the deal there.
Could be he's totally frustrated with clown Boehner and the boys running things in the GOP-E.

True. I like Duck Dynasty myself and have a lot of respect for anybody that could build a fortune with something as simple as a duck call.
On the program at least, they seem to have a strong sense of family.

Yep, I was wondering what the deal was too. I can't complain about his recent voting record though.

Fred Grandy (Gopher on Love Boat) was a decent Republican US Congressman from Iowa.

I’d go for any of the Robertsons to run for office. They would be much better than the goofburgers that represent us now

Out of 435 people, not everyone can be a rock star.
