"It was an amazing tool," said one recently retired federal agent. "Our big fear was that it wouldn't stay secret."

Silly peasants! They will only buy the drugs we force them to buy, or we will beat them, steal all their possessions, and enslave them.
Land of the free to submit to your owners.

I see you've read my brochure. ;)

I am kind of at the point where I am convinced that everything I do (including poop in the morning) is being sent to some government agency somewhere....

Very interesting.

I have wondered about how druggies and dealers get caught in traffic stops.

my comments>>>hmmm I don't trust the source.

That said if you believe the Constitution protects you from government intrusion/spying/whatever you are incredibly naive....

If you don't want intrusion into your life its up to you to prevent that. To me its counter-intuitive to expect your version of what the government should do is better than the other guys version. In both cases you rely on the government for validation.

I have no problem with reduced civil liberties in a time of war as I have stated previously but I fail to see how any one individual who is really concerned about their privacy cant act on their own to protect it..

Can anyone possibly believe any politician or their talking heads care about anything more than the next election or the next pay day. Don't rely on the government and its functionaries irregardless of party to give or take away our freedom....it is our individual prerogative to sink or swim, we can think for ourselves or let the so called “leaders” think for us..I don't depend on government no matter who is in office YMMV>
