I wonder how much return they're getting on their advertising budget (mailers, etc.) these days.
Mine either immediately go into the circular file, or I send back a simple message on a sheet of paper...RNC=DNC....NO THANKS!
I was just saying this exact thing to my DH a few days ago. I agree with Mark. There's fed up folks on BOTH sides...folks that still want our country back.
The Republican party without the Tea Party is like the Liberal Democrats of the UK in 1988. Today - drumroll! the LD are the largest third party in the UK. So, the GOP is either the party of conservatism - fiscal, social, foreign policy - and a true alternative to the liberalism of the Democrats (Progressives) or it is the soon-to-be largest and most successful third party in American history, edging out both the Bull Moose party and Know Nothing party.
It would be fabulous if Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, Mark Levin and about 175 million other Americans were to stand up.
There are Devils and Angels in the party.
Rush sounds tired.
Who’s that guy, (Steinbrenner?), Yankee’s owner who got so mad at being dissed during a ballgame he threatened to fire the fans?
GOP wants a new base? LOL... Good luck with that.
Amen.
How’d that work out for us in ‘08 and ‘12? How’s that working out with the GOPe now pushing amnesty?
Rush was asked by Greta who he respected in the republican party
his response was Ted Cruz and Sara Palin. He is also fed up with the
GOP-E.
1) Those who are afraid of the 'Taliban'
2) Bush/Romney Republicans that don't make economic sense to them
I really think a Rand Paul (Libertarian on social issues and not 'Country Club' economically) will resonate with this group of people.
Not sure Mark would agree with me ...
Rush said the Democrats definitely don't like the TEA Party and many in the GOP don't as well, both for similar reasons - they not only don't control them but also can't control them!
Rush said in 2010, Democrats all across the political spectrum, were swept from power, without any strong national political figure as their leader, (just the ideas, my words here!)
Be careful reading any headlines about the interview as I'm certain as usual, Rush's words will certainly be taken out of contex but when Greta asked who Rush liked politically, he first mentioned Ted Cruz then quickly added, Sarah Palin, both champions of the TEA Party!
hell no. the tea/party exists because of rush. rush has taught more people to think independently and arrive at conservatism all on their own, more than all establishment republicans combined.
the tea party people exist because of limbaugh. of course’he’s happy, they have a core belief and can explain it well.
Rush has been charged by the GOP establishment since the mid 90’s to be the gatekeeper and parameter setter for the Republicans. He is supposed to keep a grip on and direct conservative groups and individuals as to what is legitimate and what is out of bounds. Maybe he feels he can’t do that in good conscience I would suspect. I’ve found his brother to be more conservative and consistent.
I’ll never get over Rush’s behavior around ‘96 regarding Alan Keyes and Pat Buchanan. Also his stance on Free trade and his 10point Kook Test. But I suspect time is running out for anyone of the conservative bent to be tolerated in any fashion by our betters so Rush might as well let it rip and I would like to see him come right out and spill the beans on the GOP establishment. But, he knows the perimeters and what will happen if he breaks his promises or crosses certain boundaries - he’ll wind up destroyed or dead. At this point I think all (the few voices with an outlet) really need to think hard and go for all the marbles saying what they really believe and make a major stink cause this window won’t last forever; the window of Free Speech and opportunity to still be heard.
We must hold the House, Senate, Executive and the Judiciary if we are to do anything.
Currently we are out of favor, largely because of infighting.
I don't think we can count on Republicans to give us conservatives in a fair number of races and then have the other races won by Rinos do anything but sell out to keep the positions.
This old thing we call the Constitutional Republic seems to be very out of fashion and unappealing to our sometimes friends we caucus with on occasion. The only thing that will make them move in the right direction is fear of loss of position and fat lives.
Primary them. Fight them. Third Party activity till they piss their pants. I don't think that anything but outright panic and desperation will make them adhere to the Republic.
If we have a Senate run by McCain, McConnell, and Rubio we don't have squat unless they are more afraid of our votes and campaigns then their suckup agendas.
this attitude got us McCain Graham McConnell Cornyn Collins NO MORE>>>>>>>
