I don't think Zimmerman was on his way back when the dispatcher realized Zimmerman had left his vehicle. But, he was on his way back as the call ended, after working on the details with the dispatcher about where to meet the police.
I think the ‘aunt’ lived near $abrina. Apparently Trademark stayed there often when it was inconvenient for him to stay at his worthless birthmother’s crib. The aunt’s husband, perhaps retired military, tried to be a good influence.

That’s what I meant. Just the wording is confusing. Dispatcher conversation was that Zimmerman didn’t need to continue, and then Zimmerman turned back. But it was the dispatcher who asked Zimmerman what Martin was up to, only way to find out was for Zimmerman to leave the vehicle, then after ten seconds or so the dispatcher then tells Zimmerman there was no longer a need to do it - long after Zimmerman was out of the vehicle. In any event, the dispatcher instigated this.
My thinking is that Martin wanted to go whoop-ass on a perceived homo out to rape a black guy (creepy ass-cracker being a term for queers in the South). He perceived that he was being dissed by a homo persuer.
Under cross examination by the defense, the dispatcher admitted that his queries about Martin could have been interpreted as a request for Zimmerman to follow him.

I know, it is just amazing how a large number of people have no clue as to what the reality of this situation (and so many others) actually is and how so many people are completely manipulated by the media. May the good Lord help us all if those folks that get out there and do the grunt work and research ever give up on doing it.....at that point we will all be fooled into believing day is night and night is day :-(
Slight correction: GZ didn’t go back to his truck.
He did stop tailing TM when asked, but he stayed in the area of the T for more than 3 minutes before he headed for his truck. After he lost TM, he stayed in the area talking to Dispatch for another 90 seconds. Then after the call ended, he hung around the area for about 100 more seconds. He says he went to check the addresses on Retreat View Circle and he fiddled with his non-functioning flashlight. Most likely, before he headed back, he stepped 50 feet south of the T, perhaps to give the area one last look. After a bit more than 3 minutes, he likely figured Trayvon is not hiding in the area but long gone. It was a this point that GZ turned around and headed for his truck. TM comes out of hiding and approaches him. The rest, you know the chain of events.
