Was that Corey’s office prosecuting???

Florida.Hmmm. FL must be under orders from The Won to continue persecuting SYGers till they manage to convict one so TOTUS can podium thump about how he insisted on justice and got it. If they never get a conviction, the fascists still win because it creates a chilling climate for standing up to Obama's kids while they're getting mugged.

Its a lot quicker to acquit than convict. I was on a jury in February that convicted a woman on 3 counts of aggravated robbery and 1 count of child endangerment when she plowed over 3 WalMart employees with her car while getting away from being detained for shop lifting. It took us 25 minutes to get everything done. It would have taken just 15, but we did have to go over each charge individually.I think I remember hearing about that case.

Now if the poor schmuck could just get all the $$$
he spent on legal fees back from the yellow stain
of a DA that charged him justice would REALLY have
been served.
To: wintertime
To punish him with enormous legal bills and a year or more of excruciating worry. And....To send a message to other gun owners that they will be similarly punished.Force those aware of their rights out of the community of the law abiding??? Sounds like bad strategery to me.

FYI they have a poll asking if SYG should be repealed to FReep. Currently 90% want the law to stay.

The story is a bit confusing about what happened, and who pulled the gun, for what reason.

Because it costs tens of thousands of dollars and the prosecutors use that
as a means to plea bargain. If everybody went to trial the courts would be backed
up for years and probably end up with less people charged with crimes they did not commit.

That would be an understatement. They don’t teach who, what, where and when any more in journalism school. They teach “compassion” in some dialect of Turkish evidently.

Good! Justice does exist in Florida—Stand your ground is a good law.
To: Nervous Tick
Probably because his attacker (the “victim”) was of a protected class.

The problem is, if you pull a gun, you should use it.

To understand this case, we need to know the race of both of the individuals who were involved. /sarc

I’m going to switch back to carrying a .357.If I do have to shoot,I’ll look around for witnesses. If there are none,I’ll simply walk away.

Clemenza:
Come on, kid, don’t fool around. Just let your hand drop to your side and the gun slip out. Everyone will still think you’ve got it. They’re gonna be staring at your face, Mike. So walk out of the place real fast, but you don’t run. Don’t look nobody directly in the eye, hut don’t look away either. They’re gonna be scared of you, believe me, so don’t worry about nothing.
