I regret holding my nose and voting for McCain in the 2008 general election. He was already a lost cause. I should have voted for the losertarian.

McCain wasn't always a progressive...but has made up for lost time!

BTW, he was never a "hero" IMO. Heroes do something heroic and being a POW is not voluntarily doing something courageous. Some POWs are heroes...but if McCain was one, I missed it. There are rumors he was given special treatment.

“You’re walking down the street. On one sidewalk is a black man walking behind you. On the other sidewalk is a white man walking behind you.”

Jesse Jackson would be relieved if he was being followed by the white man.

He said it, I didn’t.

"He needs to be removed from the Republican Party. Republican Senators and Congressmen need to publicly call him out and state that McCain’s views do not represent the Republican Party. McCain has overstayed his welcome."

Hear, hear!! (or is that "Here, here"?! whichever!)

Where are all the jerks that told us everyday that voting for this guy was the lesser of two evils....

They even had to stick a real conservative with him to get any votes same with Romeny.

As with Romney....anybody really think someone we know betrays conservatives would have really have been the lesser of two evils once in office....

Never again GOP....I do not vote for rinos period.

is there no one of the Cheney ilk in Arizona? who could step up and "primary" McCain?

Well, J.D. Hayworth tried but he was underfunded and savagely attacked by McCain. During the primary, I got weekly phone calls and daily mail from McCain. After he won the primary, not a peep out of him. Too bad he wasn't that vicious against that Commie/Muslim we now have in the WH.

I didn't vote for him nor would I. He is an embarrassment to our state.

I recall voting for Sarah Palin and some guy named John was on the ticket, too. Is this the same guy?

Obviously, the Obamites have dug up a HUGE PILE OF DIRT on McCain.. They weren’t just digging up dirt on Palin.
McCain needs to retire instead of continuing to make an arse out of himself.

“BTW, he was never a “hero” IMO. Heroes do something heroic and being a POW is not voluntarily doing something courageous. Some POWs are heroes...but if McCain was one, I missed it.”

Benedict Arnold was a real war hero before he betrayed the American Revolution and went over to the British side. He was a leader and he won some critical battles for the colonials. McCain has betrayed America and is worse than Arnold in the damage he continues to inflict on our country.

McCain was a crooked Senator as early as the late 1980’s when he was the willing tool of the S&L swindler Charles Keating. As one of the Keating Five he should have been prosecuted for influence peddling and receiving bribes. Fortunately for him one of his fellow Keating accomplices in the US Senate was America’s astronaut hero John Glenn. President George H.W. Bush’s Justice Department made the decision not to charge the Keating 5 to save the nation from having its first orbital astronaut put behind bars. Had he been prosecuted McCain would have gone to jail and not been around to inflict harm today. Another unfortunate legacy of the Bush family.

Once he narrowly escaped prosecution, McCain developed his “maverick” personna and became the willing tool of the progressive mainstream media. In exchange for frequent news coverage and appearances on the Sunday morning talk shows, McCain gladly stabbed conservatives in the back and collaborated with the Democrats to sabotage conservative legislation. Since Obama became President he has willingly sided with those who would destroy individual liberty on every key issue (immigration, guns, civil rights, abortion, nuclear option). He should at least be honest and formally change parties but he seems pleased to continue in his role of inflicting damage from the inside.

McCain is far from a hero. I have no respect for the man or his service to the nation as a naval officer and POW. He is a traitor to the Republic and despicable, self promoting, human being.

Ditto. He is a disgrace, and apparently has been all his life. I wonder what really happened when his fighter jet mysteriously launched it's missile on the carrier deck and nearly sank the ship. What a coincidence that it just so happened to be HIS plane.
