I know that much gets thrown out of our culture when the bottom line forgets our cultural heritage and the business model has become Yellow Journalism. It is time we reign in these economic hacks (who slept through their civics classes) back to the prime reason for the news: The reporting of the truth.

They only understand money and that's what they ultimately care about. Look at Rupert Murdoch who said he'd move Fox News to the left if it would make more money that way. Hell, Murdoch has plenty of left-leaning news organizations under
his little empire as it is, including one that was shut down for hacking into peoples phones. That was right up Hearst's alley. Even the others like CNN, NBC/CBS/ABC, etc., while they lean left, ultimately will choose to run what should be local stories as national news in place of what they normally are pimping for the left.
The only way you bring those in and force them to just report on the real news is if you become a majority stockholder, or if they are somehow convinced of it by ratings. Unfortunately, there are many people in this country that are easily amused by white trash antics or celebrity sleaze or local stories falsely blown up into big stories (every weekend, dozens, if not hundreds of black teens are killed by other blacks, and the media doesn't care unless a non-black is involved).
But you know what? The media ultimately is giving American society as a whole what it seems to want, so I don't know how much to blame those who only care about money and how much to blame society.
Your insight is just down my ally. I have long seen the failure of America’s media and the power it has over the political system. Just look at the havoc being played out in our streets over the Zimmerman verdict. People’s minds are shaped by the media and it is affecting the leftward drift into a society we can’t imagine. I call it the fantasy world on the unicorn farm.
Time is short and I have to get off.
Thanks for your response.
