Fine by me. Our son is slated to deploy there with his Bde in April. Shut it down and bring 'em all home, today. I have a friend there now conducting a support mission. By his description it's nothing but Fort Apache there now with green on blue incidents and suicide bombings on an almost daily basis. Obama has essentially turned over the place to the Taliban. If we aren't going to fight to secure some definition of victory then we should get the hell out.

You are clearly in the minority in your opinion. We’re not keeping anyone “pinned down”. We’re not fighting an organized army who is protecting their homeland. We’re fighting fanatics who will go where they need to go. In fact, WE are the one’s who appear pinned down at the moment.

I think if you’ve been following along, you’ll know that half the “Afghan tribesmen” who oppose us over there are neither Afghans nor tribesmen; they’re young would-be terrorists from an enormous variety of countries looking for a scrap with Americans.
But, yes, I agree with the bulk of your post.
They’re mercs paid by KSA and Gulf oil states; equipped and trained in Pakistan and deployed to Waziristan.

Yes, you’re right, of course. Our American fighting men arem’t expected to fight anymore - just police cigarette butts, shower with homosexuals and field sexual harassment complaints from women.
