She usually says she “works hard for ___” or “will stand with ___”, but never any real points on the board.

When she was a lawyer at the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock, AR, Bill was AG and then Governor. I remember being a small investor in a company that built a new plant in AR and needed a waste water permit in order to begin construction. The company’s management applied for the permit and noting happened. A few local contractors asked what law firm prepared the filing, and then told the managers that they needed to re-file using Rose Law Firm and be sure to ask for HRC (so she was given credit for “rainmaking” new clients). Rose did not charge more than any other firm, so the company refiled and got the permit in short order. Was that bribery? In my book, yes.
