Those right-wing gun nuts again. The next thing they’ll try to do is declare independence from all that free stuff the king gives us.

Well done. I wish this could be used in schools to help explain some of the causes of the Revolution. But faculties would be scared to death for students to see this.

By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to Aprils breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood
And fired the shot heard round the world.
The foe long since in silence slept;
Alike the conqueror silent sleeps;
And Time the ruined bridge has swept
Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.
On this green bank, by this soft stream,
We set today a votive stone;
That memory may their deed redeem,
When, like our sires, our sons are gone.
Spirit, that made those heroes dare
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee.

History has a nasty habit of attempting to repeat itself and an ignorant and complacent public is just begging for a repeat. If we don’t learn from history we are condemned to repeat it until we do, may be some day we will.

It is the government that is the criminal here by infringing upon citizen rights to own weapons. This is a good thing that citizens have the guts to stand up for their rights.
