Not a peep out of 0blaba's "predecessor" until NOW. For FIVE YEARS -- even after all the damage the Commie-Fascist has inflicted upon America with his "Hopey-Change" baloney -- suddenly George W. Bush NOW feels compelled to comment on 0blabla's policies?? Oh wait -- he's not even criticizing ANY of 0blabla's Commie-Fascist and corrupt governance. He's merely defending revelations of a Whistleblower that have exposed 0blabla's NSA snooping policies on We The People and violate the 4th Amendment. Thus far there is NO evidence that it has "damaged the security of country." But never mind the evidence that the government cares not a whit about the US Constitution.

Ironically it's been George W. Bush's unconstitutional Patriot Act and DHS abuse that have emboldened 0blabla to ratchet up his abuse of our privacy and liberties. And for THIS Bush steps out and defends 0blabla -- as he's about to meet with him in Africa? Coincidence? Bottom line: They BOTH "damaged the country" with their pro-globalist policies.

Can't. Make. This. Up.

If a foreign entity such as the Saudis/Arab Emirates, Russia, China, Iran or the U.N. controls 0bama and his agenda, isn’t it in the best interest of 0bama to destroy our national security and intelligence gathering capabilities? I’m thinking Snowden is an 0bama ‘false flag’ to redistribute our intelligence capabilities and sabotage our superpower status. 0bama could get Snowden back if he REALLY wanted to. Perhaps 0bama will give our missile defense technology to Russia in exchange for Snowden.. “Flexibility!”

Snowden is irrelevant. He might be a traitor, but who cares? More important is that the price will be high for the US and its citizens this time. I suppose no further cooperation with good old Europe on issues like security, free-trade-zone and support in Afghanistan or elsewhere. Angela Merkel has an election to win and the German people will be pi$$ed off. This is a gift for the leftist SPD. Remember Iraq and Gerhard Schroeder??! A few hundred Americans had to bleed the German share of blood in this war and the US suffered a major and enduring loss of influence and importance in Europe. Now it could even be that your military will loose its bases in central Europe in the long term. They simply will kick you out if you do not behave.

You guys shot into your own knees.

Let’s see...how long until the Bush Bashing starts?

Oh, the thread starts off with it.

Conservatives—”who needs enemies when we bash each other and tear each other up just fine all by ourselves?”
We still haven’t learned that lesson...unfortuantely the Dems have.

Is this the same Bush who wouldn’t defend himself or his actions while he WAS in office? I’ve always wondered how those later historians are going to judge him as anything but a dumbass simply because they don’t / won’t have an account of what the bleep he claimed to be doing at the time? Can either one of them spell Tanz——oh shucks?

“Bush also refused to criticize his successor.”

Why not? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
Obama got the goods on the Bush’s?
If Bush wont comment on this communist regime, then he
need’s to keep his flap shut and quit letting Obama tell
him what to say.

“I put the program in place to protect the country, and one of the certainties is civil liberties were guaranteed,”

Translation: Give up your freedom and privacy for security.

I Don’t know why but, just like Clinton, the further away
we get from the Bush years the worse he looks.

Bush on Snowden: ‘He damaged the security of the country’

This from the guy who restored Big Government after the sanity of the Reagan revolution. He is also among those in the ruling class who wants to reward millions of illegal alien law breakers and attract millions more.

” [A] former president doesn’t need to make it harder.”

Whatever you think about his statements here, he at least is showing more class than his predecessors and their Vices, who dumped on him after Jimmuh lead the charge.

There is no doubt about it. Bush gutted the 4th Amendment. The consequence is the opening of the US to nationalist fascism and progressive communism under Obama. A new republic will emerge when citizens insist on a return to freedom. Meanwhile we have tyranny.

Here’s the 20 countries that Snowden has applied for asylum:

Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, China, Cuba, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Ireland, The Netherlands, Nicaragua, Norway, Poland, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, Venezuela, Ecuador

I believe that he has also applied to Iceland and Iran.

I don't see how Snowden has helped terrorists, not the smart ones that can really inflict damage. Does Bush and Obama expect us to believe that terrorists don't know that any electronic conversations can land them in jail. Really?

And the fact that we're bugging our allies stinks. It seems all Obama does is piss on our allies and extol the Russians and treat the Chinese with kid gloves.

The fact is that Snowden embarrassed the hell out of the elite in this country and they don't like it.

“Bush on Snowden: ‘He damaged the security of the country’”

Yeah, well, as far as I know Mr. Bush, Edward Snowden didn’t allow the southern to remain border wide open from 2000 - 2008 and allow 30 million Mexicans to break in to the country. Personally I can’t imagine a greater compromise of national security than that.

The whole premise behind our knowing about PRISM being a threat is the idea that Mohammed and Ahmed are planning their next attack using a couple of Yahoo e-mail accounts and using words like “bomb” and “detonate,” and now that they know about PRISM, the jig is up because they’ve been tipped off! Somehow I doubt that very much.

These people are cunning, I doubt they’re using Yahoo and Youtube to plan their next attack, and I doubt very much the Government started this PRISM program to “protect” us. I believe the whole thing was about datamining and creating political dossiers on Americans right from the start. The fact that they’re so enraged about having been found out, supports my theory. They act like a cockroach who got caught in the cookie jar, HISS HISS HISS. If they sincerely wanted to stop or at least seriously combat terrorist attacks, rather than turning the country into a polite state, they could simply put a moratorium on immigration from certain countries (starting with Saudi Arabia). In a sane country, that probably should have happened on September 12, 2001.

Well, golly gee, thanks Mr. Border Security, for your input. (And how many Americans during your eight years in power died at the hands of scores of illegal aliens on US soil via murders and DUI's, now? Compared to those dying as a result of Snowden?) Certainly the 8-year-death toll from the people who will take work Americans won't, surpassed those who died on one single day in September 2001.

Now go away, sir. Far, far away.

You and the rest of the lot that bear the name "Bush". Just as far away from my G.O.P. as possible.
