Defense will bring that up when it’s their turn to call witnesses.
“Every time there is a bench conference, the defense sends up one attorney and prosecution sends 2-3. Not a good image for the prosecution.”
Yes...they look rather nervous when they do that.
Now Ramona Rumph and the ancient historical 911 calls coming into evidence.
I thought the same thing. State scored on that last question, but I don’t think the witness had time to fully understand what she said. I also think the defense should of asked her if she took her eyes off the two struggling for even a second....after the shot was fired.
According to the Officer on scene who tried to revive Trayvon, there was no exit wound. The Medical Examiner found the bullet in Trayvon's chest.
Ordinarily it should suffice to leave it ambiguous, since ambiguity favors the defense (reasonable doubt). I imagine that it is tempting to the defense to go further and disambiguate, but one can not predict exactly what will happen in response to questions by potentially hostile witnesses, and the witness could spontaneously offer up more detail damaging to the defendant in his or her answer, and the defense would minimize that by minimizing the amount of questioning to only that which is strictly necessary to ensure reasonable doubt. JMHO/IANAL
I think O’mara convinced the jury she’s mixed up and unreliable so I’m guessing they discounted that final answer.
How many phone calls are we going to listen too.
So, if I remember, the judge ruled that only the phone calls where he mentions the suspicious ppl were black ...are going to be allowed?
“Was there an exit wound in treyvon? If he was shot lying down, wouldnt the bullet be in the ground?”
No exit wound; the bullet was found in the heart according to the autopsy.

Here are some burglary reports in that neighborhood...they had a rash of them!
This info (below) was available online from the Sanford Police Department. I saw it shortly after the shooting, but once the story became sensational in the media, it disappeared; here’s a copy.
Note the blackened out names, etc. Those, in all probability, are minors. Note how many perps are black. That’s why he’s reporting, on those 911 calls, that the ones he’s watching are black because they’re the ones who committed the crimes....if caught.

OK I just returned to the trial, now the prosecutor is presenting Zimmerman’s past calls to the police as a neighborhood watch, in which he is sounding like an angel, the police are polite and respond to all his calls, and he sounds like a concerned responsible citizen.
And this is to show, I guess that dastardly Zimmerman, as part of his neighborhood watch, actually called the police politely to report suspicious persons?!
Very strange. Is this worth doing? I guess also a lot of the suspects are black, which Zimmerman reports when asked in each case.
But in each case Z has a good reason for the calls. On this one, the guy is going back and forth to a house at which Zimmerman knows the resident and it ain’t this suspicious guy who Z has seen loitering in the neighborhood on prior occasions..
Thanks.....
Boy, these phone calls make GZ seem like a cold hearted murderer.
So it’s a bad idea to consider it suspicious to see unknown young black men walking around a place they don’t live late at night?
Reminds me of on an episode of Family Guy, this shop owner says “Wow! I can’t believe it! I’ve gone all day without getting robbed today......OH, Welcome to me store...How could I help you young African American men?”
Let me comment on this business now, of showing that “nothing much” comes of the police calls.
I often have to call the police about folks present on some private property we manage. These people are trespassers and often refuse to leave until police arrive. The police usually talk to them and explain they must leave. The police encourage us to make these calls. However the police prefer to make contact and ask the folks to leave, they really don’t want to charge these trespassers.
There is nothing wrong with this, the police tell you to keep calling, they will increase their patrols, etc. but it would still look like “nothing” happened just based on the records.
Fwiw, pop, pop, pop = 2 echoes, if recorded could be used to determine location of phone and/or event
The state is entering these calls into evidence so as to show that in all previous calls he always followed protocol but the one on February 26th 2012 transpired differently because George was different that night.
Hey Bernie, the difference that night was Trayvon not George. On the previous calls, the suspect didn’t assault the caller.
If I were the defense I would have presented this evidence of Z’s prior calls as part of the defense.
RACHEL IS UP NEXT.
