The Boy Scouts, by opening themselves to gays, have in effect opened themselves up to every issue advocacy groups out there.

When I was a boy, I was a Boy Scout, and I was from a very non-religious family, wasn’t baptized until I was 40, and professed no faith whatsoever until I was 40. I said the Boy Scout oath every week, with the God part, and since I was a non-believer, the God in the oath could have been Zeus for all I cared.

No one ever shunned me or excluded me.

But, today’s Anti-theist is no Atheist (as I was), because a non-believer cannot be offended by a deity that he does not believe in.

Why one but not the other? Militant homosexual activists (closeted and open) have muscled their way into journalism, corporation offices, and the government in ways that make them stick together more than adamant atheists do.

Sleeping with someone (literally) bestows a certain level of trust, camaraderie, and indebtedness.

During the so-called listening phase, the BSA emailed scout leaders like me for our opinions. I told them that if they capitulate on a moral issue like sexuality, then they will no longer be able to take a stand on anything. Fidelity to God? Patriotism? Sense of duty? All of that is now meaningless when it becomes subjective. The BSA is now pointless and will be set adrift like the Girl Scouts.

I believe the Boy Scouts were infiltrated and I believe these forces worked many years to get to the point they are now. Their intent was to destroy what was good, true and pleasing before God. Scripture describes these things perfectly.
