People who are afraid to exercise our civil rights don’t still have them.

That is correct. I think the 2a is the 2nd amendment on purpose. The 2a allows us to protect the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I don't give a damn if some one gets up set when I carry openly or concealed. I generally do not open carry, but I do occasionally in the heat of summer and technically speaking in my neighborhood (walking down the street to neighbor's house to go shooting, etc.).

I think an open carry event where people peaceably assemble would make an excellent statement. All of the gun owners that I know are law abiding individuals. They would be presentable, peaceful, polite and leave the protest area cleaner than it was before the event. And yes, I like the idea that it would really piss liberals off and show them that we mean business.

MN allows open carry.

it’s the MPPA (Minnesota Personal Protection Act)

"MN allows open carry. it’s the MPPA (Minnesota Personal Protection Act)"

MANY states allow open carry. Once upon a time, open carry was considered typical public behavior, and concealed carry was considered criminal (gives the concealed carrier an unfair advantage). Thus open carry was legal, and CCW rendered illegal.

Now CCW is becoming the norm, and open carry, even if legal, is objected to, even by some gun owners......."it might frighten the natives"

Are you a lawyer with knowledge of the firearms laws in MN, or do you just play one on TV?

I am neither, but I know your assertion is entirely incorrect in my state. In fact, you *must* *have* a CCW to open carry a handgun in my state.

Being forced to retreat by progressive fascists only emboldens them.

I appreciate the courage of the open carry who have successfully attended events.

Those without the courage, not so much.
