They’re still doing dumb things....like not putting sale prices on all their items that are on sale. So you don’t know until you get up to the register that it’s a lower price. Well, the higher price will keep people from picking up the item in the first place.

I recently discovered Belk, a rather obscure department store chain with stores mainly in the South, and they’ve become my shopping replacement for Gay C. Pansy. Don’t know their politics real well, but they at least haven’t come out as open sodomite panders to my knowledge.
And their stuff is pretty good.

I had a quiet “aside” with a Chik Fil A manager, he said ‘we’re not supposed to talk about it’ when I asked him about that incredible show of support...didn’t want to be seen as ‘spiking the ball’-
He said at his store alone they were up 139% that day.
It’s a beautiful thing.
JCP? meh

Well, customers haven’t been returning to my local J.C. Penney. I was in there a week ago; the place was an absolute deserted graveyard, with nary a customer nor employee in sight.

Other than WalMart, we have one department store in our entire county - JCP. Surely your county has internet access. Shop online.

I believe we need to reward people who “see the light” and abandon bad morals. We applaud the new JCP management for dropping the offensive “pandering” ads. We plan to go back and visit Penneys’ again as our small contribution towards “reinforcing” a very good decision.

Except for other liberals, these events are attended by people who spend most of their time mocking homosexuals.
Even Hollywood treats them more like pets than people.
The perception is acceptance, the reality it is not.

They don't want to become a target for the Gaystapo if they are wrong on their assessment.

I wasn't paying attention this year, but did they not push homo-ads in their Mother's Day/Father's Day ad sheets? Did they show traditional families at all?
Sorry to be so mistrustful, but they have a long way to go to convince me.

Starbucks used to have such crap printed on their cups. I don’t know if they still do, because that stopped me from buying any of their overpriced products years ago.Who wants to drink a cup of coffee while reading about manure drillers?

"I recently discovered Belk, a rather obscure department store chain with stores mainly in the South, and theyve become my shopping replacement for Gay C. Pansy. I love Belk; they're a bit more upscale than Penneys, but with very competitive pricing and a huge selection.
Belk used to be affiliated with Leggett stores; I worked for Leggett during my twenties. Belk bought them out, and while I've never heard anything about its political stance, it has a reputation for being family-friendly.

FWIW, got my present job back in 2002 with a suit from Belk. Very modestly priced, even for a cheepskate like me. My sister-in-law told me my custom tailored suits which I wore for 15 years working in Asia were hopelessly out of date.
Have worn it maybe a dozen times since, probably one of the few guys with an MBA type position who gets by with wearing a suit so little.

Thanks for confirming their reputation for me. Their website touts "diversity" in employment and customers, but it looks like it more pertains solely to race.
I say "obscure" as in market share. 300 stores, is pretty low on the retailer scale. There are only 2 stores within driving distance to me within a large metro area, so I think the description fits.

JCP painted their bridge in the colors of the rainbow...which caused the bridge to spontaneously combust.
Now, there is no way for me to get there from here.
