See post 42, nobody has helped conservatism more than Governor Palin, since Ronald Reagan.
It is certainly possible to fuse the less strident elements of the libertarian movement with those evangelical conservatives who disagree with big government conservatism, on a platform of strictly limiting Federal government power. Reagan succeeded in this endeavor.
Evangelicals are already anti-big government and conservative, they are the enemy of the libertarians.
Libertarians are not conservative, they are radical leftist except on economic issues.
Here is the leftists agenda hidden behind the Libertarian Party curtain.
Libertarian Party Platform:
Throw open the borders completely; only a rare individual (terrorist, disease carrier etc.) can be kept from freedom of movement through political boundaries, eliminate the Border Patrol and INS.
Homosexuals; total freedom in the military, gay marriage, adoption, child custody and everything else.
Abortion; zero restrictions or impediments full 9 months.
Pornography; no restraint, no restrictions.
Drugs; Meth, Heroin, Crack, and anything new that science and marketers can come up with, zero restrictions.
Advertising those drugs, prostitution, and pornography; zero restrictions.
Military Strength; minimal capabilities.
It never ceases to amuse me how you spend so many 0’s and 1’s badmouthing people of the only other political group who would stand with you on gun rights, tax repeal, states’ rights and abolishing several cabinet level departments. The group who if were suddenly in power tomorrow would take the bold and audacious move to...leave you alone to live your life as you see fit as long as you’re not hurting anyone. I’m really starting to think that if you had a choice between obama and Ron Paul you would choose obama for fear of big fedgov not being there to bitch about.
It is interesting that I never leave your thoughts but supporting the homosexual agenda, abortion, open borders, etc, is just wrong, wrong, wrong.
You need to strive to switch to conservatism.
Still waiting to see where the feds have any authority over any sexual agenda, homo, hetero or otherwise. If you believe abortion is murder, then that clearly takes it out of the fed sandbox and leaves that to the states to deal with. I don’t have any real problem with defending the borders, but if you get rid of all those pesky unconstitutional federal agencies (that means DEA as well as HHS among others), you’ll have a lot less reason for people to sneak in. But if the governor of Texas wants to call up the militia to garrison every inch of it’s border with Mexico, that’s for the people of Texas to decide.
Like I said, supporting abortion, the homosexual agenda and open borders is wrong, no matter how softly you speak as try you try to defend it.
Making stuff up like you do about other people isn’t one of your nobler traits.
It isn’t a trait all, interesting that you make a false accusation about false accusations, I can how the agenda that you support fits you.
Which agenda is that, my grammatically challenged fried?
Rather than slipping into the liberation personal attack mode, why don’t you just go back to post 63 and post 64 and just try to make your defense for the libertarian /leftist support of abortion, the homosexual agenda and open borders, your post 66 was not enough to turn conservatives into supporters of the leftist/libertarian agenda for the social/moral/cultural destruction of America.
Well I should have noticed from your last post that reading comprehension wasn’t one your strong suits. My bad. I know that to you, pointing out that the constitution does not grant the fedgov power over most of those things is tantamount to me threatening to move a big, homosexual, mexican biker into your spare bedroom but you’ll have to just believe me when I say I’m not advocating that.
Lame, but this seems to be the routine.
We see this all the time, the libertarian is angry at the conservative opposition to abortion, the homosexual agenda, and open borders, but they only make personal attacks rather than actually just speak out and make their defense of those things.
Odd how you see anger when there is none. Maybe it’s just some more projection on your part.
Another fierce posting, angry libertarian, full of insults and lashing out at conservatism, but unwillingly to defend libertarianism.
1.3 Personal Relationships
Sexual orientation, preference, gender, or gender identity should have no impact on the government’s treatment of individuals, such as in current marriage, child custody, adoption, immigration or military service laws. Government does not have the authority to define, license or restrict personal relationships. Consenting adults should be free to choose their own sexual practices and personal relationships.
There you go...doing cut and pastes from the platform of a political party that I don’t belong to, thinking that doing so will somehow will somehow make those positions mine. Come on. You can do better. I have no proof to back that up, but I believe in you.
And what is your obsession with having to ascribe hate and anger to those you view as your opponents? Is it that you saw the liberals beat conservatives with the “hate” moniker so many times that you decided to adopt the tactics of those you fear and despise the most?
Fine, we see this all the time from libertarians.
You now oppose that libertarian position, and the same with abortion, open borders and the rest of their social liberalism.
I could have sworn that when you jumped in with post 64 and post 66, that you were arguing with conservatives about something, but evidently not.
Your problem seems to be that you think all of us think and believe the same way. Let me disabuse you of that false belief. We are for the most part individuals. Trying to hang some kind of group think around my neck is going to be tiring for you.
LOL, my mistake, I could have sworn that you were libertarian and originally started posting to me to disagree with my post numbered 63.
Evidently you were agreeing with post 63 and it was all a misunderstanding and you are actually a conservative not a libertarian.
