Just spitballing here, why not play by the same Alinsky rules they do? One of Uncle Saul's rules was to make the opposition abide by their own rules.

If we demand that Obozo care be implemented on schedule at lower cost and cover everyone it will collapse under its own weight in two years, just in time for the next election. The Conservatives step in with a flat tax, tort reform, portable coverage that can be sold across state lines and we are heroes.

if you support allowing criminal activity to continue for your own personal gain..

you are not my ally..

if you think totaltarian behavior is acceptable as long as you can reach some mythical temporary goal..

you are not my ally...

if you believe that abuses of the constitution are alright because there is an election coming up..

you are not my ally...

if you think the select targeting of YOUR OWN ALLIES is alright because there is an election at stake..

Yeah, you do talk big alright, but you have no grasp on reality whatsoever.

I said nothing about the choice being made for political reasons.

You know that law thing you mentioned. The thing you keep waving around as if you understand it. Well the law (the constitution in this particular instance) explicitly spells out how you try a president for criminal acts. That’s impeachment. Sure, the House could impeach him for what he had done. Then the Democrat Senate would surely declare him not guilty and then what would have been accomplished? Not a damned thing.

If, on the other hand, you use your brain for a change, and you wait until the GOP has the Senate, you can then impeach him and get it to stick.

Criminal prosecutors understand that a trial that you know is not going to find a guilty verdict is a waste of time. Just because that very obvious fact is beyond you does not change the reality of the situation.

I know this may be too complicated for you to understand, but if he gets a not guilty in the Senate, which is a foregone conclusion with Reid in charge, you have just wasted your time, and likely garnered him a great deal of sympathy.

I know that reality is a messy business at times, and you don’t wish to sully your hands with how it actually works, but spouting off nonsensical insults against people who do understand reality is not very productive.

Oh, and don’t try and label me not conservative because I’m not living in your la la land. A real conservative recognizes reality for what it is, not some utopian fantasy like you yearn for.
