The press was all over Watergate before Butterfield testified, but his revelation was the nail in the coffin for Nixon.
Even then, through the fight over the tapes, battle over executive privilege, the Saturday Night Massacre, so very much happened before Nixon left office a year later.

TTeam Clinton might well indeed be on the march...but this is not going to play out well for any of them IF the press doesn’t get muzzled.
Even the house session today, on police, was taken over by Representatives speaking about getting to the bottom of these scandals.
This stuff is “errupting” in every session in Washington...spoken or not..it’s on everyones mind.

I think this whole scandal, on all points, is “erupting” like a volcano ready to spew it's lava...and a lot of people are going to get burned...or at least we'll see them trying to outrun the flow....some will pass out for the fumes alone! Carney sure had his whiff!.........If the dogs stay on their heels, muzzled or not, the psycological stress on these characters in play is going to be severe.
We all wish, but there is a 100% certainty nothing will happen to the Marxist.
The main obstacle is the fact that Boehner has much more hatred for the Tea Party types than he has for the one.
I am certain that Boehner will be happy to see the Tea Party and other Conservative groups destroyed.
He may feign concern but it will be just words.One month from today all this will be swept under the rug.
As time passes, I am convinced that when the history of our demise is written, that Boehner will rightfully get a large share of the blame.
Boehner is a sissy man. We need a House leader with a Warrior mentality that will go for the kill against all the Statists in government.
