The unfolding scandal reminds me of what Gen. Maximus told Commodus in Gladiator:
“The time for honoring yourself shall soon be at an end.”

It has been obvious from the beginning that he was being blackmailed. Maybe we should go back and parse his statements from that time period and see if there are any little hints in his language.

It has been obvious from the beginning that he was being blackmailed.Yes.... but not over his 'affair' with Paula. Once you let the 'secret' out, it's power is used up.
Besides, it was only the 'public' that didn't know about it. Everyone around him knew. I would also expect that if we checked, just about every 'on the road' military commander has some 'hottie' staff member that likes to cozy up to them.
Exposing the Paula affair was done to divert the public away from the real reason he resigned (meaning... told to quit or else).

Agree completely. That resignation was not over the affair. It was about Benghazi and all that dirty stuff that we don’t even know about yet.
Petraeus resigned - not because of the affair - but because he didn’t want to go to prison, prosecuted for treason or bumped off by the WH. Maybe his family was threatened too.

It has been obvious from the beginning that he was being blackmailed.I would love to see Petraeus testify in an upcoming hearing, and say these exact words: "I was being blackmailed by Hillary Clinton." The media would never be able to ignore a statement like that.

If there was a camp called Womyn-tonka she would have gone to it, right? BTW ‘tonka’ means ‘buffalo’ in Lakota doesn’t it?

Odd site and not really all that creative much less humorous.
