Bump.
One thing I guess he was right about.
Thanks for posting this.
I wouldn't take his word on anything; and the videos did not confirm to me that he was right either.
A list .
I don’t take his word on that or anything else. There was a lot of investigation done here on FR and that’s where I formed my opinion. It is a fact that they were happy to find that he was alive. It is a fact that they took him to the hospital. It is a fact that they found him several hours after the attack and no other Americans were there anymore. It seems to be a fact that the jihadis moved a few blocks over to continue their attack on the CIA annex hours earlier since it had been under attack from the moment Ty Woods team returned from their rescue mission.
Candidate for Breaking news?
Some Thoughts at the time were they were glad they had a hostage.
From all I have seen and read that makes no sense. If he was a hostage why did they take him to the hospital and turn him over to doctors there? Why did one of them take his cell phone and call the first saved number in it, which was to the Tripoli embassy, and tell them they had rescued him and he was at the hospital? That is how our embassy found out where he was.
Acting Ambassador Gregory Hicks,...mentioned that there was a call on Stevens cell phone saying he was alive and the Americans could come and get him....and that was after the Liby PM and called Hicks to say he had passed away....so there was concern that am ambush was planned for any Americans going to the Hospital.
Here’s what I don’t get. There has been testimony that it was too late to send in help, they could not have made it in time. In time for what? How about the simple idea of securing an American embassy, searching for survivors in need of medical care, retrieving bodies. There should have been troops airborne within moments of hearing there was an attack. If the only resources were hours away, it was that much more important to get a head start. Assessments and plans could have been made in the air.
I don’t know about the timing but it was one of the guys who carried him to the hospital that used Stevens’ cell phone to call. He had no idea who Stevens was or who he was calling. I can understand why they would suspect an ambush but there wasn’t one.
Exactly right. Those excuses are pathetic and calloused. Couldn’t get there in time? No interest in trying to help 41 State and CIA employees in any way? No rescue, no medical aid, no recovery. Not even any interest in trying to secure sensitive info that would obviously be in a CIA post? Just screw it all seems to be the administration line.
Did they just assume all Americans in Benghazi were dead? They immediately took the knee. There is just something very wrong with this thing, it’s like they had their minds made up before it ever happened.
Why did Gibson have to stand down his 4 SWAT team specialists who were going to get on the flight to bring back the survivors....that was REALLY Pathetic.
They had real-time streaming video from a drone overhead and secured channels on radio and cell phones in communication with those on the ground so I don’t think they thought they were all dead. 0bama and Hillary just left them to die. And apparently tried to facilitate their deaths by telling the rescue team in Tripoli to stand down, by cutting FEST out of the loop and by cutting the counterterrorism group out of the loop.
Benghazi: A Coverup Laid Bare --( House hearing with Whistleblowers )
The administration treated their employees the way Jodi Arias treated her boyfriend.
Because he was at death's door and they wanted him to live so he could be a hostage.
Why did one of them take his cell phone and call the first saved number in it
My understanding was that it was a doctor who did this...probably after it was apparent he would not survive.
And perhaps rightly so.
Thanks. That is interesting information.
