911 is the Government’s sick idea of Dial A Prayer.
Dial 911, get a response in 90 minutes. Dial 357, get a response at 1500 feet per second;)
4 armed robbers rob Pepes?
“”We waited until 11:20 [p.m.], but no one came “So, we went home and I took a shower and got a call about 1 a.m.””
Oh yeah!
That’ll teach ya to call 911 stooopid...
He should have made them wait for 90 minutes...
Had the same thing happen in my apartment complex. Two Asian guys moving in were robbed at gunpoint and assaulted downstairs. The Asian guys ran after the gun man and he fired two shots at the them then got in his car and sped away. Called the police, they came by and left. Said they didn’t “see” anything. Had to call again and e-x-p-l-a-i-n s-l-o-w-e-l-y that shots had been fired....from a gun..... 40 minutes later the police showed up. Two weeks later a murder had been committed nearby during a robbery with a gun. The apartment downstairs was swarming with detectives that day looking for the bullets that were fired that night.

The guy should be happy they showed up in 90 minutes. If he called the State Dept it would have taken more than 9.
If you can, don’t live in an urban area.
I think this guy only dialed 38, but it was enough to run them off.
Whenever I’ve called 911, the operators were on the ball. Once I pulled into a parking lot and called 911 just moments after seeing a traffic accident. The operator asked if I was calling about the accident. On another occasion, I saw flames erupting from a business next door to where I live. There was no one else around, or so it seemed. When I raced home and called 911, the operator asked, “are you calling about the fire?”
Why, ya think the coppers show up quicker in the middle of nowhere?
I’ve reported this before: the Hollywood shooting at Vine and Sunset, the cops responded in 40 minutes...and the Hollywood precint was 2 blocks away.
SC decision 2005: the police do not have a duty to protect you.
And yet citizens don’t need guns to defend themselves and should trust the police.
And before you suggest there is no crime or crazy sh*t in the middle of nowhere or rural..... Think about Newtown CT...
It is just that you can arm and better defend your self in nonurban areas.
Horse crap
And BTW, this story was not about defending yourself...It was about the cops showing up way late...
