I knew Rubio was for amnesty years ago. This guy is a POS, self serving politician who has hopes of flooding this country with ‘vote for Rubio Latinos’.

Does anyone remember the interview with GW on immigration where the interviewer asked Bush why he was going against 85% of Americans who wanted more enforcement on illegal immigration. Bush’s answer was, “well the American people are wrong”. Unfortunately the politicians have stopped listening to the American people for some time now. Even the elections are not rigged.

Let’s see how the border protection part works for the next few years, and Congress can work on making changes to legal immigration that will concentrate on benefiting the interests of this nation. Fix legal immigration, and make illegal immigration a crime punishable by hard labor. The last thing we need right now is 30 or 40 million illegals becoming Democrats and citizens, so they can vote in more Communists to plunder our wealth.

Attempted amnesty is what cost the Republicans the Senate in 2006. And they want to double down on stupid?

Here’s what they need to do - cut off ALL taxpayer-funded benefits to illegals including anchor babies. Give them nothing - no welfare, no SS disability, no school, nothing! Then we’ll see who really wants to stay.

Rubio realizes his big mistake in jumping on the compromise wagon with Juan McCain and UpChuck Schumer.

Too bad, Marco. You blew it.

Very few immigrants - - legal or illegal - - come to America anymore because they want to become “Americans”. They come here to steal whatever they can by proxy, through Democrat politicians who buy their votes with handouts, the same way Democrat politicians always buy the votes of their moocher base. So I believe Rubio just wants to help the rats open the floodgates to hordes of illegal aliens in order to increase the rolls of welfare moochers and help the Democrat party achieve permanent dominance.

That’s right - - I think Rubio is a stealth Democrat infiltraitor.

Background checks in their own country and in ours. Psychological tests to make sure they aren’t terrorists.

My comment is curently awaiting approval.

Let me see if I'm understanding people who are pushing amnesty. They can't enforce the laws we have now, that's why we have millions of illegals. They say we can't stop them at the border and we can't deport them. How do they intend to keep thirty million from being in the country 10 years after this amnesty? They say they're going to stop this from happening again. This is the same thing Reagan promised us with his amnesty. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

These are some of the things I'd require in any immigration reform;
End to birthright citizenship. No ifs ands or buts.
A ten year moratorium on all immigration.
Because so many illegal immigrants are from Latin America and China, we will not allow any more immigrants from these countries for another fifty years after the moratorium expires. Not even for family reunification. If they want to be with their family they can stay in their home country.
Immigration after the moratorium will be based on what they can do for America, not what America can do for them.
Because most illegal immigrants are doing jobs people on Welfare should be doing and it would be unfair for American taxpayers to be supporting them while allowing millions of poor people to become legal, for every illegal immigrant legalized one American has to be removed from government assistants. This means no food stamps, government housing, WIC...
English will be the official language. No government forms, including ballots, will be printed in any other language.
Illegals will have to return to their home country while a background check is run. Before they can return they must; be able to read and write English, pay back taxes, repay taxpayers for any expenditures pertaining to their children or themselves. This would include medical care for their American born children.
The border will be secured without an expensive fence. We will dig two trenches 6’ wide x 3’ deep. The first will be six feet on our side of the border, and will have no trespassing signs posted before you enter it. The 2nd trench will be one half mile away from the first with danger signs on our side. The land in between will be posted as “No Man's Land”. Every country will be notified to warn their citizens that Americans will be patrolling the border and will have the authority to shoot anyone within the “No Man's Land” who is not an American Citizen.

The new citizens will not be allowed to vote for ten years. Within that time they MUST take American History, taught by someone who is not an Obama supporter.

The new citizens will NOT be allowed to receive government assistance of any kind.

My own personal belief is that we already have enough people. Especially poor people. Allowing more people in puts to much strain on our environment and infrastructure. I want my great-grandchildren to be able to enjoy clean water and air. To be able to hike and camp in our beautiful parks. By letting more people in we create more pollution and require more land to be used for farming and housing.

Best regards,
Susan

Send them all back, people here should come first. Tax dollars are needed to take care of the people who paid them not a bunch of freeloading illegals.

Simply replace our current immigration law with Mexico’s immigration law — word for word! Who could object to that?
