I like that very much-and now I’ll have it in my head for the rest of the day, which is okay, too...
ION makes a really good USB turntable that converts vinyl to MP3 automatically.
I have a lot of really weird, obscure stuff on my iPod because of it.
Brain Damage
Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Comfortably Numb
Oh, geeze...I like ‘em all, really.
Not the song, the book.
If you think the song is scary, you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.
[dead grandpa with maggots crawling out of him, talking to the girl...yikes!]
*Horrifying* book.
I have no idea why anybody would *ever* want to risk “seeing” such things.
Screw it.
Stone cold reality is plenty freaky enough.
I was talking about the book-it just happened to bring the incident of singing the song to mind-it is one of the mean things I’ve done that I’m totally unrepentant about...
You have a twisted sense of humor.
I like that in a person.
[I head-fake drunks...it’s fun]
I never read the book. But now I have the song White Rabbit going through my head because of “Go Ask Alice”
Fav PF songs
Wish you were here
Welcome to the machine

The lunatic is on the grass
Just about anything else really,
That is a high compliment indeed-one of those same lunatics once humorously suggested at a staff meeting that we should install a valium lick in the break room-again, totally inappropriate...
LMAO!
[it’s good to have another fellow traveler on the path of ‘inappropriate humor’...all of my FReeper friends are such weird and witty souls]
:)
I was reamed for my humor more than once by that employer for being “mean” to those two female co-workers-liberals have no sense of humor whatsoever.
My teachers thought I was “high”.
[God forbid some young kid had amassed enough intellect, vocabulary and arcane literary reference material to confuse them]
Only my art and advanced writing/comp teachers ‘got me’.
My peers just thought me ‘twisted and dark’.
I had fun, even when I was laughing alone.
[and you probably should have ‘aimed lower’]
;]

It was very polite, even humorous, about the whole thing so he decided to let it stay.
Hopefully they honored the druggies’ request!
Fortunately, my parents encouraged and supported us kids in our curiosity and our opinions, and went to bat for us if it was necessary. We were not scolded for asking all sorts of questions.
LOL!
Non-conformity was anathema to my ‘rents.
They wanted me to be a secretary.
[rofl]
All my talents were ‘useless’ *except* for times I got my face in the paper for winning some art or spelling contest or they featured me looking suitably studious and intellectual some goofy PTA ‘scholastic achievements’ school self-promo film.
[lord I hope they’ve burned that film]
Then, I was The Golden Child.
My ‘useless art talent’ eventually translated into $2K murals on Harleys.
Wasn’t so pointless, then.
You had good parents.
[mine literally cringed whenever I said “Why (fill in the blank)?”
Mom said I was switched by Gypsies.
:)
Don’t believe it. God would go to a cooler school that Florida.
