Yeah. I saw this thread and almost commented. This was so predictable to be laughable from the git-go. Like I mentioned in a couple of other posts, if it were not for the real estate I’m bidding on this weekend, I’d have gone pretty much all in.
But the scary part is how ineffective this manipulation was. It implies they are running out of ammo to hide the inevitable.

"But the scary part is how ineffective this manipulation was. It implies they are running out of ammo to hide the inevitable." How many ways can they 'kick-the-can' down the road? Are they running out of road?

Yes they are. That was sort of my point. ;-)
Each time they kick the can it goes a shorter distance. Think of it as a can that doubles in weight every time they kick it. They are about to kick it and get nothing but a bunch of broken toes. When that happens I can’t say, but I think it’s getting very close.

For all the charts and associated commentary, the author does not quite grasp the impact of deflation. Hard assets will lose value. They will lose value. That includes gold. His charts demonstrate this. And yet he's all in for buying more.
I noticed that too. He's contradicting himself there. He also stated:
By waiting until March 2009 to implement QE1, it allowed the seeds of deflation to be sown. The fact that QE1 wasnt enough simply aggravated the situation.
which seems to contradict
But interfering monetary policy (e.g. QE) and delusional fiscal policy have pulled the system away from its authentic state, to the point now where the forces to correct are placing growing strain on the status quo.
First he seems pro-printing money, then against it.
