ILION, N.Y. Remington Arms will be staying in the Mohawk Valley for the foreseeable future. Two days after sources say Remington Officials met with three State Senators and three Assembly, U.S. Congressman Richard Hanna announced that the Pentagon would be awarding Remington an $80 million contract. In the meeting, sources say, Remington told the State lawmakers that they were moving forward with a $20 million upgrade to their plant that employs 1,200 people.
Boycott them.
nice try though
Perhaps we should boycott their brand?
Conservative patriots need to recognize the Federal military for what it is. A tool of Washington unable to resist any evil or unlawful order given.
We cannot place our trust in them, and expect to remain free. They are a Standing army not Constitutional philosopher.
Praises their patriot members but know that if the time ever comes, it is more than likely those same members will either betray their patriot countrymen and levy war upon them or they will be marginalized in-favor of those that will.
The U.S. military is a threat to liberty domestically.
And Remington ammo is crap. Been crap for a few years.
After lots of thought I agree. Remington is not the enemy here. Its our politicians. Remington is providing good rifles to our Navy Seals, Rangers and other SOCOM soldiers. Just because Remington is keeping the factory where they founded their business and retaining all of the longtime employees is not a reason to boycott. They need to do what is in the best interest of their company and people. We need the gun manufacturers on our side.
The man was sincere when he communicated with me. A no BS guy. Im sure he hates all of this crap as much as we do.
There are other ways to fight all of this antigun nonsense.
Thank you.
With that being said, I'm still torn on the issue. Try to stay and support the Second Amendment in NY state or say “lost cause” and leave? There are generations of people that have worked at the factory, and not the type of people that up and leave their community easily. NY state has some great history. The sad part is it's all history....
I’ve seen enough textile and furniture ghost towns to ever want to do that to anyone else.
Lookit the bucks on Solar and Wind that have been payed in and out and in.
I did not realize that the US military was part of the NYPD. (Sarcasm)
