Good post.
“She was on the research team that developed aerated soft ice cream.
Totally pointless activity of course. Why on earth would you want to help pushing back the boundaries of Human Knowledge, save money, and increase the longevity of food when you could be doing really important things like “community organising”?”

LOL! There truly is nothing more important than organizing communities. ;)
“I hope Reagan did make a tribute. I believe Nancy is will be attending her funeral.”

I’m looking for it, but for now, I have this, about Lady Thatcher speaking about President Reagan. I just remember that when he died, I thought I heard that they both made videos or mementos for each other.
btw, I hope Nancy can make the funeral. She’ll be there in President Reagan’s spirit.
I think Freepers should send Nancy Reagan and Lady Thatcher’s families notes of condolences, in snail mail, if possible (it’s more ... heartwarming). Is there some website devoted to this?
I’m so sick of death. My nephew was cremated and had his funeral just a few days ago. He had so much promise, so much heart.
Madame Thatcher, President Reagan, and Pope Jean Paul II really changed the world.
“Our flags should be at half mast. But dont count on it happening due to the socialist we have in the White House now.”

Agreed—out of respect for our two countries’ long-time friendship, it should be lowered. At least on the day of her funeral. Perhaps that can help repair the damage done, by, I don’t know, when the bust of Winston Churchill, another great British PM, was returned. Or the many other gaffes.
If any Brits are reading or posting, please know that there are many Americans who are with you in spirit, and appreciate everything Madame Thatcher did. She came from humble beginnings and helped changed the world.
I do not know about a website devoted to Margaret Thatcher’s passing and upcoming funeral. Her husband died about 10 years ago, I think. She has two children, F/M, who I think are twins.
So sorry to hear about your nephew. I imagine this is a very sad time, especially for his parents and any siblings he may have had. It seems especially cruel when someone dies young without the benefit of a full life.
I lost my best friend just a couple of weeks ago. I push the sadness away as much as possible; it’s too much to bear all at once.
Yep. (sigh)
