I can’t figure out if this is just a straight case of irony, or if it is a small case of irony mixed with loads of stupidity?

Protesters were set to gather Monday in downtown Los Angeles to urge the owners of the Los Angeles Times not to sell the newspaper to political propagandists. Do they not see the irony of that statement?

What does that mean, it might become successful?
I don’t think FNC is “conservative” at all.

This is a case of fear. The leftards fear that the Koch brothers would turn this dying paper into a going concern by veering to the right.
I simply will not buy my local paper (a Gannett fish wrap) because the editorial board consistently endorses positions that are wrong for the community.
If they were so sure of their position they would be happy to see the Koch’s lose their shirts.

Don't they teach similes and metaphors and analogies and all that stuff in English any more?
The proper fear would be that it would turn into 'Another New York Post'.
Fox News is a broadcast station. The LA Times is a newspaper.
Sheesh!

Protesters were expected to deliver some 100,000 Californian signatures If all those people attached their signatures to a subscription, maybe the paper wouldn't have to sell. That's the only petition that really means anything in business.

Supposedly there’s a new conservative network to air this summer.. America One? One America?
Probably half of FNC’s staff will defect (the half WE want) if
this really happens.

If, and that's a BIG if, this is true, then the Koch brothers are paying attention.
We need to own the message, which requires that we own the messenger.

Do they not see the irony of that statement? No. They don't. Liberalism is the default ideology. Their overlords at the DNC see it, of course. But these fools can't.

Marxists like to flatter themselves that they matter to businessmen.
It’s a joke, really.
To: BfloGuy
My question was rhetorical but, of course you are correct. The leftists simply lack intellectual depth to connect the dots.

L A Times has been slanted and untrustworthy in its “news” reportage for years. Useful only for its (many) ads.

The editorial positions of every newspaper in America fifty years ago would be considered right wing today. The pendulum keeps swinging...

The PBS documentary about the Times is biased but worth watching. If you come upon a beautiful landscape, think twice before you develop it, you may not get what you want in the end.
