Ya see most that are paying that can't believe it either. And government at all levels constantly want more and more of their $.
It gets worse...For many boomers, what they pay per month in mortgages, rent and living expenses, equals about what the TOTAL, paid in full, cost of their parents first homes were...
Wrap your brain around that.
In fact what the boomers are paying for family health care in 1 year or so, cost more than the total cost of the homes their parents bought.
My folks in the 1950s bought their first home, "Brand new" for about $4,500...WITH 3 KIDS ON ONE INCOME. Try doing that in America today.
There are many millions today struggling to pay that much EVERY 30 days, just for rent, mortgage, insurance, food, repairs, clothing, utilities and heath care etc...
If taxes and the deliberate devaluation of the dollar don’t destroy your enjoyment of retirement, the medical profession will do their best to finish the job.
NOTE TO ALL: We check every bill from doctors, labs, dentists, etc and just since the beginning of this year we have caught 11 cases where they were either double billing us and the ins company or billing us for procedures which were never done. In all 11 cases they “corrected the errors” but I am sure they are betting most people will not take the time and just pay the bill.
These “errors” have come from numerous sources so it is not just one medical provider screwing up but IMO they are doing everything possible to screw us out of as much cash as possible before CommieCare collapses and single payer is created to “fix the problem”.
