Todd Akin defeated himself......lots of lessons there.
All the people who just couldn;t vote for a Mormon that wasn’t 100% conservative, so they didn’t show up at the polls, or the people that thought Akin was a MORON, which he isn’t, well, you get crap like this!! RUINATION of a NATION right before our eyes.
The operative word for Politicians today is “evolution”. You can lie to your teeth before the elections and then after you win, you can conveniently “evolve” your opinions.
The larger concern should be about Republicans that have recently spoken out in favor of gay marriage.
RE: RUINATION of a NATION right before our eyes.
It’s looking like Missouri prefers an abortion and gay marriage supporting Senator to a pro-life, traditional marriage supporting one.

I know of only one thus far -— Rob Portman. Not even sure of Dick Cheney supports it.
Even an inapt senator is better than an evil one. Too bad the RNC cut his funding.
People should have got behind Todd after he would not step aside so we could have got rid of her. That should had been the goal. He maybe odd but he's much better than her and his voting record looks good. He did not wavier like some do. We keep hurting ourselves in long term because of the feelings impact and a person has to be pristine. Imo.
“Is some form of legalized gay marriage inevitable in the United States?”
Cheney replied:
“Well, I think that freedom means freedom for everyone. As many of you know, one of my daughters is gay and it is something that, uh, we have lived with for a long time, in our family. I think people ought to be free to enter into any kind of union they wish. Any kind of arrangement they wish. The question of whether or not there ought to be a federal statute that governs this, I don’t support. I do believe that historically the way marriage has been regulated is at the state level. It has always been a state issue, and I think that’s the way it ought to be handled today, that is on a state-by-state basis. Different states will make different decisions. But I don’t have any problem with that. I think people ought to get a shot at that.”
They should just come out and say “I hate children”
that’s the real root of it all.
This is what big mouthed ‘moral’ crackpots get you, saying stupid stuff electing Dems
That hog now discovers her belief ‘marriage quality’
This is why we have her. Right here, it is.
Gop cut funding as well. He would be better than her. Hello.
EXACTLY! It wasn’t just the low-info voters who have brought us to the edge; it was and is also the high-information nitwits who abstain or vote for democrats based on their rigid and narrow personal beliefs about a candidate who ensure democrat victory. The morons are the ones who do not do everything possible to keep democrats out of office because they think “they’re all the same”. THEY’RE NOT ALL THE SAME! They’re democrats, they all LIE! They spread lies about their opponents and the morons suck it in and throw the election to the lying fascist democrats. This is not a perfect world with perfect candidates on our side. Make use of what we have at the moment to keep the democrats on the outside or take your personal part of the responsibility for keeping them in power.
“Todd Akin defeated himself......lots of lessons there.”
No kidding! In addition, he was McCaskell’s “handpicked” opponent! We should not have lost that seat. She was on the ropes! Either of the other candidates would have whipped her ass. Now we have her for six more years. Just a damned shame! Ditto for Mourdock!
We always thought Missouri people were stupid and every day this one is in office proves that to be absolutely correct.
No amount of funding could have saved him. Todd Akin's political future was as dead as a doornail the minute he opened his mouth.
Todd Akin defeated himself......lots of lessons there.
Indeed there are. Never say anything that could possibly be construed as insensitive to women or minorities. Always assume that someone has a cell phone camera pointed at you, and that person has an MSNBC producer on speed dial. Akin could have won that race very easily. Mourdock also could have won his own Senate race in Indiana, and Romney could have beaten Obama.
All of them beat themselves by saying something stupid.
