I am in the Reno market for media.
NOT a word on this here. Radio-TV quiet.

Rough translation , very rough translation.
According to Arab media he was shot by his Iranian body guard and is in a hospital in Damascus . His condition is not stable .
Says according to Israel he is dead .
Also says something about the fighting in Damascus right now is very heavy and something about if he dies that the Islamists have won .

correct for Iran, too. Their Thursday has traditionally been a half working day - sort of our Saturday - and Friday is our Sunday equivalent. Saturday, as you state, is the first day of the work week.

My guess is, the ammo buy is part of the stimulus, iow money laundering / campaign contrib quid pro quo, and is also a means to drive up prices in the short term.

Something like 800 warheads in the Israeli armory, some of them neutron bombs and some, it is said (but not confirmed) tactical nukes with some *directional* options. They can cauterize the whole of the ME in very short order.

You don’t have to “field test” (on humans). The US certainly had them during the cold war, the whole point is that it is a normal nuke with a lot of the energy siphoned off to radiation. It does *not* leave buildings intact, that is a far-left fantasy intended as a propaganda point against NATO.
What it is used for is killing tank crews, fast and painfully, to stop large armor movements.
And Israel certainly also have strategic warheads, as well as the whole triad of delivery mechanisms. This isn’t exactly magic.

Years ago when Stratfor was free or reposting on another site was very lose, they ran an article documenting China's neutron bomb field tests in Western China, including satellite, U2, or SR-71 overhead images of the villages - and the buildings were intact. Building damage is likely a function of downward blast pressure and height of detonation. All the vegetation was dead and, presumably, the troublesome muslims in the villages as well.
And no, I no longer have articles from that early period.

This was out in French (Lebanon), and in the Arab and Israeli news on the 23rd. I still don’t believe it has been verified?

From the article you referenced:
“Other countries tested neutron bombs during the 1970s and 80s, including the Soviet Union, France, and China (the latter possibly using plans stolen from the United States).”
I can only say that the article was on Stratfor - whether that was before you joined or you simply missed it.
Call BS if you please. What I saw, I saw. End

"...why the hell are we involved in any way?" Because our Saudi masters have told us we need to be. Our elected leaders are slaves to their oil and money.

Bingo. The duck comes down and awards you $50. Your concise statement describes perfectly the elephant in the living room of the American Political Class. The Saudis have bought the Republicans (remember James Baker the Bush family consigliere) straight up and thoroughly penetrated the Demorats with a combination of bribery and attaching the raghead cause to the chariot of cultural Marxism otherwise known as ‘diversity’. The Chinese have done something similar with both parties but much more quietly and unobtrusively as their culture has a couple thousand years of experience in doing.

The uproar over possible Chlorine use must mask something more. Chlorine is a low grade chemical agent. It has been used in bush wars for decades. The Italians used against the Ethiopians, the Soviets against Islamic resistance in Central Asia in the 20’s and 30’s and later in Afghanistan after the 1979 intervention. The Egyptians , probably with Soviet technical help, used it against the royalists in Yemen in the 60’s and of course it was massively used by Iraq in the endless war with Iran. The WMD uproar must be related to good evidence that the Assad regime procured Sarin/Tabun or something worse from China via Iran or maybe North Korea. Having those agents in the hands of Hezbollah would make something possibly happen that would trigger at least a limited Israeli nuclear retaliation for some obvious historical reasons.
