I have never been a Rove fan but this article goes out of its way to blow up his significance. He is trying to create a simple theme to make it all sound easy, again.

2012 for the GOP was a series of bad moves and disasters which Rove and Romney played a part of, but many of those disasters they didnt.

You had GOP Senate candidates setup in easy win races blowing their races for no good reason, just talking stupid.

You had a line up of very weak (and I mean weak) GOP candidates competing with Romney and promising things that they could never come close to delivering, that looked silly to those not true believers.

I also would NOT blame Rove for all GWB failures as the author tries to. He was an important factor but there were lots of other disasters going on there too. Iraq was very unpopular especially as it turned sour , after lots of false claims and empty promises.

You had many in the GOP completely misjudging the voters and the political climate. Rush kept on preaching for 2+ years that Obama is losing, he will lose 2012, everythings against him, expect a Mitt landslide(much like Rove was).

That being said Rove’s record for 2012 was pathetic and election night he screamed at Megyn Kelly for calling Ohio for Obama. He acted sure Mitt would win.

One of Rove’s associates tweeted me this morning to try and sell me that Rove was an Atwater guy ...

LOL. That reminds me of how they tried to twist that Rove was President Reagan's guy in Texas and 'ran' his campaign in 1980.

Rove is almost as good at revising history as shrillary.

“the demographic trends are rapidly turning in this country” and just WHY is that? Can you say “Bush” and “GOP-e”?

I don't do business with Amazon anymore because they caved in to Governor Moonbeam's demand that they collect sales taxes from California residents. I'll go to Barnes & Noble or the American Book Exchange.

I’ve heard Rush say several times recently that four million conservatives who voted in 2008 stayed home in 2012. And also that Romney took several million independent votes from Obama, but that the decrease in conservative participation was too much to overcome.

That’s sounds plausible, but I haven’t found much discussion of it elsewhere. Do you address the question of who voted in 2012, where Republicans gained or lost support?

At least Rove isn't a quitter.....he has continued an agenda meant to erase conservatives from the landscape. What a stick-to-it guy.

Heh---nice work. You nailed it. Fact is, Rove is a tool of the neocons......the latter despise conservatives---they came-a-squatting in the Repub party, and joyfully kicked conservatives to the curb.

Rove carries on b/c he needs pukeneo cash---they keep sending the bucks as long as Rove advances their hate-filled agenda. Post-2012, Rove is in deep-doo-doo after the Romney debacle---his $300 million contributors want to know what Rove did with all that money.....millions raised on Rove's certainty that Mitt would win.

BTW, you remember the neocons, don't you? GW Bush installed them in the Office of Special Ops where they connived (using our tax dollars) to get the US to invade Iraq. Puke-duped Bush actually believed the pukeneos when they said that would bring peace. The Middle East is still in turmoil 10 years after the pukeneos duped Bush into invading Iraq. A horrendous foreign policy decision devised by the pukeneos on the backs of the 2300 killed on 9/11.

Let's be clear---Iraq's in the Mideast---a place the pukeneos said was "thirsting" for American-style democracy.

(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

Same place now known as a terrorist hellhole where trillions of US tax dollars were wasted and rivers of young blood were shed. <><> Where the blood-thirsty Muslim Brotherhood has a stranglehold. <><> Where the WSJ reported neocon godfather, Richard Perle, is starting an oil company with his war profiteering billions (your tax dollars at work).

It took the US about a decade to get out of Iraq....as the globe erupted into Mideast-centered terrorism.....and hate-filled Muslims set sail for America.

But not to worry---at the serene Four Seasons lounge, where the champagne flows, the Iraq War is still seen as a really, really good idea......and hate for conservatives continues unabated.

Cheers.

=============================================

Mmmmm......sure would like to be a fly on the wall at the Four Seasons---where the puke elite meet downtrodden GOP'ers---- over chilled Cristal, imported room temp Brie and water crackers.

Rubio just hired a puke for his campaign team. Looks like there's gonna be A LOT MORE puke-invasions and land wars since the pukes duped Bush into invading Iran, now that the entire 100 million-strong Muslim world is aflame with hatred for the US, Americans, and Christians.

PIN THE TAIL ON THE COUNTRY THE US SHOULD INVADE NEXT--I guess the pukes will have to pin donkey tails on a Mideast map to decide which country they want the US to invade next (cackle).

====================================================================

REFERENCE On the eve of the US invasion of Iraq, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee heard testimony from Marine Corps Gen Anthony Zinni---and other millitary experts---that the architects of the Iraq invasion were totally ill-prepared for a post-combat occupation. The military experts ridiculed administration claims that rebuilding could be achieved within two years, that the weapons of mass destruction would be destroyed-------and that a vibrant new political and economic system would emerge.

AFTERMATH Ten years later, Iraq---and the rest of the Mideast---has yet to create a viable political and economic system....(a system the pukes knew was totally incompatible w/ archaic Islamicist thinking).

Do you address the question of who voted in 2012, where Republicans gained or lost support?

It is addressed, but more in terms of being a pre-ordained consequence of running a certain type of campaign - and more in terms of a 20 year trend than just a 2012 dynamic. I believe to my core that the 2012 loss should be looked at in broader terms than most are doing.

A: it was a loss 20 years, not 20 weeks or 20 months, in the making.

B: The loss was part of a bigger war, the theft of America in broad daylight, being taken from the citizens by the government class.

I will get your book at one of our retailers in the area. I still like going brick-n-mortar first

Oh, and if you count popular vote in presidential elections....GOP lost 5 of last 6. And, with Howard Dean and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz running the DNC. Yikes

IMHO, it is Karl who has exaggerated the "flawed" non-GOPe candidates for the Senate and elsewhere. And he helped the Dems to sabatoge those non-GOPe candidates.

Way more 'Tea Party' candidates won than didn't. Time and again it was Karl and the GOPe who backed the likes of Scozzafaza, Crist, Dewhurst, Hutchison, Lugar, Specter, Murkowski, Grayson, Bennett, Lamontagne, etc.

If it had been up to Karl, we wouldn't have Cruz, Paul, Lee, Ayotte, Flake or Fischer in the U.S. Senate right now.

Akin was NOT Tea Party. Mourdock was outright stupid. And yes, EVERY national candidate should go to Newt Camp to learn how to handle the media.

...I actually show that the foundation of the new tone strategy has its roots in the 2000 after math - and I examine this carefully. I bet you will be surprised at some things you knew in November and December of 2000 that you might perhaps remember differently now. And actually, the reason for that is part of my main thesis.

It’s pretty EASY, MOVE THE HELL OUT OF CALIPORNIA!

I'd like to move to a "red" state, but in my situation, relocating wouldn't be easy. And there's no guarantee that my new "red" state would stay red. My brother lives in a state that was as red as a tail light when he moved there but is now baby blue and turning downright "progressive."
