Don’t forget marriage to one’s horse, dog, cat, chicken.
Chicken?
Oh, hell. Why not. In constitutionally protected love anything is possible.
If someone as seemingly committed to pro-family values as Portman could stick the proverbial knife in the back of his supporters, it makes me wonder if any politician can be trusted. The message here is that nothing is as it seems, and the most solid among us are potential traitors. Sad.
Nothing is at is seems is right. Many, many of these people in politics are really nothing more than actors who are well groomed and well trained in the arts of lying and manipulating people’s feelings. Just read the quotation of James Madison below and you will begin to see what has been happening to our countries for generations. This is nothing new.
“There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurptions”
..........James Madison
The “gradual and silent encroachments” happened by those who are like the people we have in power today. The first generation of patriots that the founding fathers were, were followed by usurpers and imposters. Over time the phonies drove out the honest people and took over our government putting on a mask of patriotism and virtue. That is why our country is seriously ill. The people are finally finding out and with God’s help there will be enough of us to change things. Good motto to vote by: All that glitters isn’t gold. We have to really hold back and not fall in love with candidates as soon as we see them. There is no room for love at first sight in politics.
I agree with you.
I have to start pinging some again, took time off due to illness etc.
In this regard Portman is no different than Cheney, I tend to think it’s wrong for legislators to make public laws/policy based on these personal, individual situations.
Interesting, if true. Not that I doubt you. It’s just a surprise.
“Does marriage keep men (and women) out of cheap motels and brothels?”
Actually, I think it does for most, but not for all. I never fooled around during my marriage. I’m too paranoid of STDs to visit a brothel even as a single man. I do not promote a gay lifestyle, but if a person is going to be gay, then better they take responsible steps to avoid AIDS.
