If I recall correctly, Sugar Pops were shot from guns. No way would the leftards allow that today.
It has changed, but not all for the worse. I'm glad I don't have to shovel coal into a furnace and haul clinkers anymore.
I invented stairs that prevent such an accident.
When a person weight is spread on three or more steps the stairs unfolds and turns into a slide. Immediately there appears a mat at the bottom that catches the falling (now sliding) person.
For some reason nobody wanted to buy it because it would have been impractical economically. The logical reason is that so few people are actually hurt and very very few actually die from such an accident and the cost of $20,000 to make that improvement was cost prohibitive.
The government on the other hand thought it was a great idea because of the tax income that would be produced from such a modification.
They were not concerned about saving lives but rather focused on the potential tax collections they could recover.
If you believe this story then you are a potential politician.
Yeah, “Sugar Pops’’ had some kind of little bear as their logo I believe and he had a six-shooter. Heck, The Mousekeeters had guns. Hey, I’m a city kid and I remember coal fired boilers and the smell of it and using the ash for traction on snowy sidewalks.
