Like I said , I thought your post has some useful information in it and had no problem with it, but this is the internet and this site is not facebook,

This is a anonymous posting political oriented site.

We don’t know you and you don’t know us,

So looking for sympathy, or having your feelings hurt, from people you don’t know at all, makes little sense,

You could be more diplomatic.

But then again, why bother?

I've had a few rough years with zero (or less) income. Yep. Zero. None. Nada. Is what it is. Live life, move forward, and make hay when the sun shines.

It's really not that hard.

Even a cook can do it.

Good. The employees at the company I work out have been on a 4 day week for 4 years. I think it’s high time that government workers feel their pain.

So we’re supposed to engage in “Stockholm Syndrome” for the bureaucrats that carry out the orders of the totalitarian dictatorial regime that has no regard for our Constitutionally protected God Given Rights? Get Real! I feel not one bit of sympathy for these are the people carrying out the orders to swallow our rights on the way to a full Soviet style take over. I say let them starve or find a job that actually adds value to FREEDOM!

RE :”how many FReepers have cellars and shelters for things like twisters and sequesters?”

Yes, I am saving bottled water for the worst. This is terrifying. And lots of firewood and matches and candles too and dry foods. I am worried about the vampires coming out after the military and police are furloughed. And all the mass killers let loose after the power goes off in the prisons and the guards are furloughed.

I have been playing this doomsday stuff at work, it is really fun. They younger (Obama voters obviously) there really get a kick out of it.

But the dark skinned immigrants really freak out over it, Obama is Jesus to them.

but the person in the budget office working on next year's numbers is "nonessential" in that next year's budget is not an immediate necessity, although it still needs to be done eventually.

Not if you work for a United States Senator.

To you Timber Rattler, how little you know of “those evil contractors.” If you knew what I knew you’d realize just how deceptive many (not all, but many) of them are.

I have a safe spot good for up to and including an F3. Anything more than that in North Texas near where the west begins, and light a candle for me.

For sequesters? I've got computer music ready to go with the soundtrack from the 'Sound of Music'. Ready to be broadcast over the entire JRandom property. That will be a day of days. A feast day to remember. They took 1% of the increase they were going to charge us away. So it's still a net increase.

I’m not going to knock a guy who makes $22K per year. You are obviously not part of the system causing the problem but just a cog.

You have to understand the anger many have though. The fact is, the sequester is a con. If you are being told that you are getting a pay cut because of it, you are being scammed.

Spending is not going down. The sequester is just a reduction in the rate of growth.

Spending was scheduled to increase 15% year over year. The sequester cuts that by 1.2%. In other words, spending is still increasing.

It is a con game.

The question is IF they are cutting your salary and that of countless other working stiffs, where is the extra money going? (answer, feeding the debt monster paying more and more interest on our debt). It is just like Bernie Madoff’s con. Take money from party A to pay party B and so on.

(BTW, you shouldn’t be surprised of some of the reactions, people here can really lack empathy or tact in their responses).

Maybe we need a thread about how to survive the sequester?

people here can really lack empathy

You can tell the ones that have empathy by the way they really stick the screws to useless eaters and tax-paid droids and enjoy the way they squirm.

Those lacking in empathy, just want rid of the problem of overweight governmet. Post haste.

That's what I've heard, anyway.

No raise? That’s not true. My brother in law works for the feds and has gotten over 15 k raises plus takes off whenever he wants, lot more days than u mention. I don’t get any vacation. If I don’t work I don’t get paid. And majority of people I know r in that boat. Except the gov employees.

That's exactly why I don't let government employees, dogs, or random strangers onto the bed.

Next thing you know, they are under the covers, you have have to buy bug spray, and get shots. And prove yet again that you can't father children (already ajudicated in many counties) {Stare what?}

Nosirreebob. You can sit there in front of the fire and dry off. Don't molest the catz. I left their claws for a reason. ;)

Poor, poor pitifull you!
Horible, hatefull, shamefull, belligerent and disgusting contemptable comments from your fellow non-government employed citizens?
(Assuming you are a citizen and actively employed full time)

Tell me exactly what it is that you are paid to do, by the Federal government, out of the confiscated taxes from my hard earned paycheck.

I bet you will never tell, because that would out you as...whatever you are.

RE :”Maybe we need a thread about how to survive the sequester”

Great idea:
How to survive the sequester (it will be worse than Y2K and Climate change both put together)

Ideas like yours just call me like a full moon to a werewolf.

Bob Woodward better watch out for US drones flying over his head, that secret justice memo says he's fair game..
