We must be the party who sees immigrants as assets, not liabilities.
When I no longer see foreigners who can not speak English, using EBT cards to pay for their groceries, I'll stop looking at them as liabilities.

“When I no longer see foreigners who can not speak English”
And what was the first words out of Marco “salt water wetback” Rubio this morning on Fox “my mouth was dry because I just recorded my response in Spanish”.
Pandering GOPe dirtbag is all he is. Put him out there thinking if the GOP panders to the wets we will win the next one. Forget the LEGAL white immigrant that came to America. All the GOP has to do is win over the ILLEGAL Wetback Invader and we got the next one in the bag.

I'm not too happy with the GOP stance on immigration, but on my laundry list of issues, immigration is down near the bottom compared to size of government, military, 2nd Amendment, repealing obamneycare...
If I had a choice I'd vote for Rand Paul over any other Senator (since Cruz is Canadian born), but I would vote for Rubio more enthusiastically than I could Romney.
I'd prefer someone with executive experience. Governor Scott Walker supports AZ's immigration law and no benefits for illegals and he's a fighter, but he hasn't made any moves to indicate a run in 2016 unfortunately. We need a guy like him. Governor Palin supports the AZ law, too.
Walker and Palin would be my first and second picks, and Rand and then former Senator DeMint my 3rd and 4th.
The GOP wants Jeb or Christie since they can't get Soros to run for the top Republican slot and David René de Rothschild already has a job much higher up on the ladder.

The free stuff - groceries, cell phones, etc. - is what bothers me. It takes some time to learn English. One of the most kind hearted and faithful friends I’ve ever had is from El Salvador. She came her as a 17 y/o and couldn’t speak a word of English. It took her a few years to learn. She’s been here 15 years now and works for a large land development firm in an office tower downtown. I’m very proud of her. Yet she still asks me about words she doesn’t understand, phrases used by business executives. She would understand Rubio much better if he addressed her in Spanish. As long as Rubio is encouraging immigrants to learn English, I don't have a problem with him giving speeches in both languages.

I applaud your faithful friend for learning English and I would also applaud her if she came here LEGALLY... Did she?

Yes, she’s here legally. She wouldn’t be working where she is if she wasn’t.

If the R party doesn’t man up and stick to the Constitution, they will remain worse than the Dems/progressives/commies, because then there is no opposition at all.

Not what I asked. I asked if she came here legally, not if she was here legally now. Pretty big difference, but you do not have to answer if you do not want to. That is ok.
