E-mail received last night from Organizing for Action (IE: Victims-R-Us). Just one of thousands of Obama’s never ending campaign websites.

I might suggest that freepers send in their own stories of being victims of illegal immigration but you know they will be just tossed out. We could make up victim stories get picked and recant before the media. The third thing is real victim stories, job loss, business loss, Auto or home theft, gang activity whatever and forward to Republicans.

Also note how illegal’s are sent to a vote with Obama website. Do you think they might encourage voter fraud without getting their hands dirty?

Both sides of my family have been traced to coming over in early 1700’s from Germany and Ireland. They are followed the rules and worked hard.

It makes my wife mad (she is 1/4 Apache) when I put Native American on surveys. I tell her and others my lineage has been here almost as long as Indians. Even Indians came from somewhere else. They just got here first. I am as Native as the next person.

Thanks to my wife’s interest in genealogy, I’ve learned that I had ancestors in North America at the time of the Revolution, and they fought on both sides of the war. Quite a bit of Mom’s family tree came over from England (my earliest known ancestor is recorded in an English census shortly after the Norman conquest, in fact) and on Dad’s side I’m descended from Hessians.

But I recently learned that one of my more recent ancestors, my great-grandfather (Dad’s mom’s dad), may have come here illegally. He was born in the Azores and was a crewmember of a ship docked in New York, and one day decided to jump ship and remain in the States; this was some time before WWI, although I don’t recall exactly when he came to America (I do know that Nana was born in 1913, though).

On a somewhat “unrelated” note, it turns out that on my mom’s side of the family, I’m distantly related to Dolly Madison and John Marshall.

Where's your family from?

Ireland and (God help me...)France. And one of the Irishmen married a woman who was either Dutch or German, depending on who you ask. Was all between 100-150 yrs. ago so can't speak to the process as to how they came here.

If you do the math from big sisters own Department of Homeland security you will see only 12% of the immigrants are illegal. The rest seem to have figured out how to use the broken system. But the illegal’s never go away and just keep adding up. Janet from another planet figures about 500,000 illegal’s each year multiply by 24 (approx years since last immigrant fix) and 12 million poor souls in the country. I’ll post my article about it later.

Cry me a river, Josie...most of my ancestors were here when we were still a British Colony, arriving in the 1600’s, others came legally through Ellis Island. All came before 1900. So just get your illegal, alien butt back to Mexico where it belongs.

My fathers family came from England in the 1690’s and also includes american indian over the years.

My mothers parents came from Lithuania in 1908 through Ellis Island and did it LEGALLY.

My wife came from Sweden in the 1980’s and it took her 15 years to get her US citizenship LEGALLY.

My daughter-in-law is from Monterrey, Mexico, and has her MS in Industrial Engineering and did so on a tennis scholarship. She is currently going through the process of getting her citizenship LEGALLY.

I have worked ranch laborers from Mexico who got their citizenship LEGALLY.

QUIT YOUR WHINING JOSE! EXISTING LAWS ALLOW YOU TO GET YOUR CITIZENSHIP. GET IN LINE AND JUST DO IT.

We need to change the tone of our argument, and explain that we are not anti-illegal immigration, but rather we are Pro LEGAL immigration.

kick his and every other illegal alien out!!!

They forced me to shut down a 57 year old business started in 1936.

I either had to get rid of my employees that were getting $23.86 plus $7.80 in fringes and hire illegal aliens at $12 cash with no deductions or go out of business.

Instead of violating all the labor and tax laws I closed the business in 1992.

I hate the gad damn bastards!!!!!

If such a monumental effort has been expended to deal with this persons life thus far, how much more difficult would it have been to go through the process of coming here legally in the first place?

I was brought to the US by my family when I was 8. I have not once had to look over my shoulder, sleep on a couch or worry about my education. My family worked as hard as this whiner's, perhaps harder. As did I.

And I am NOT a hyphenated American. As soon as I was of legal age, I became a citizen. My children are all legal citizens and not a single whiner in the bunch.

Seems like going the legal route has its advantages, small though they may be.

From where is my family?

Why here, the United States. My ancestors 11 generations or so back immigrated here from the British Isles.

I was bought as a baby by a mormon couple from a mormon doctor who supplied falsified birth certificates showing them as the birth parents. So I have no idea of my heritage and no way to obtain that information.

I once ran into an elderly couple from Norway who began addressing me as someone they knew from their home village, they said I was such a twin of this man they genuinely thought they were running into him here in the U.S. ...so I adopt the Norse as my ancestors.

NPR did a program about 5 years ago about immigration from the Phillipines.

Man works at Subic Bay for 30 years, and is allowed to ask for a visa for himself, wife, and son (15yrsold).

After 3 years, son turns eighteen - has to reapply from scratch- he can no longer piggy back on his father’s visa.

After 5 years, man gets a visa, he and his wife go to US. Son gets married - he either re-applies for his family (start process all over again), or he goes to the US, then applies to bring over his family.

After 8 years, son gets a visa to travel to US. He sets up an internet link so he can see his wife and children, and they can see him. Son applies to bring family over.

His family is expected to arrive in US in another 5 years.

MEANWHILE this yahoo has jumped the line, and cries in his beer about how hard he has it.
