Matt 26:52 "Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."
(You are now and have always been a loon")
he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.
He who lives with his foot in his mouth, dies with his foot in his mouth.
Then said He unto them, But now, he that has a purse, let him take it, and likewise his bag: and he that has no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.~Luke 22:36
Maybe RP Should put the blow or the bottle down.
Whatever your view of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Chris Kyle did not start either one of them so Ron “crazy old guy” Paul needs to shut his pie hole. He talks about unconstitutional wars but what does that have to do with Chris Kyle? Ron Paul, as a veteran, should know if he were sent to war and had to kill people (yeah I know he’s a doctor) his opinion on whether it was unconstitutional or not wouldn’t have mattered. He’d have to do his job and wouldn’t have deserved to get shot in the back for it back home.
I wonder if Fraud Paul will be joining Fred Phelps and his merry Westboro clan in protesting Kyle’s memorial service?
paraphrasing, i think Jesus said to look to the log in your own eye before you look to the mote in someone else’s.
i don’t know, i try to keep those kind of judgements of other human beings in check. especially in that circumstance. maybe mr paul has his reasons.
And when Christ returns it won’t be pleasant for those who are against Him. He comes back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords and it won’t be peaceful!! So much for that peaceful side.
I still think this is one of the important and pervasive abuses of the Gospel:
Jesus hates soldiers.
That assertion supported by RP is false.
Jesus was not an anarcho-pacifist.
When Jesus noted a roman centurion as having the greatest faith in all of Israel he was throwing down a rhetorical gauntlet to the Galilean zealots in the crowd— including his own disciples.
Jesus never ripped roman soldiers. Jesus understood the difficulty of wearing a uniform amidst self righteous thugs.
Libertarians annoy me greatly on this point.
Matthew 10:34. “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
In the old days, maybe warriors most often did die in battle.
It probably was not as common to get whacked from behind by someone supposedly from your own side. The ones who were made the history books because such events were so unusual and notorious.
Nowadays, there's traitors everywhere, even at the top.
Ron Paul is bat-sh*t crazy, and so are his followers. There, I said it.
I use to think he KuhRayZee Uncle Ron.....now I don’t even want to see him at Thanksgiving ....
ron is a genuiine idiot for that remark. at worst a completely ignorant christian, at worst deliberately misquoting God’s word.
the whole context is those who live violently, that it’s just an inherent way of everyday life, generally die from violence. think urban gangster thug if you want the kind of person this refers to.
RPaul's words are basically an emetic. He doesn't have a freaking clue. He's nasty. He's passive aggressive. He's mentally ill. He's duplicitous. He's naturally attracted by lies and the dark side.
roman soldiers didn’t have awesome lives. screwing up orders cost big time, sometimes with their lives.
Since Paul was in the Air Force, doesn’t he deserve to, “die by the sword,” according to his theory?
...the politician who lives by the crass, anti-veteran and anti-military statement (figuratively) dies by the uncaring, vulgar, anti-veteran and anti-military statement.
