Absurd. The ‘antichrist’ will not need a teleprompter.

I missed where the Pope condones, supports or otherwise, anywhere, agrees with the goofy utterance of a single Vatican staffer, as portrayed by the trusty AP with certain lefty gusto, written entirely for the lo-information reader and gullible.

That would be difficult to enforce since people are people after all, and they will swap or barter if more traditional monetary purchases become impossible. But who knows what a set of seeming miracles might inspire a godless society to do. I’m simply saying, don’t forget the philosophical side of it. There will be outcasts and instanders.

(When did “low-information” become the meme du jour?)

And obviously any literal financial strictures, if that’s what they mean, will not have been enough to drive them to silence or obscurity.

We are spoiled by the ease of our cashless and scannerful society, but if we had to go back to square one and barter again in order to live... we could. Such technology is neither good or evil in itself; it can only be put to good or evil purposes.

And what does it say about the “Vicar of Christ” and his hierarchy that loose cannons go off so often?

The Pope and the Magisterium command so little respect from the inside?

This is AP and they just peruse looking for a headline like this.

The Pope certainly did not say this.

read it.

This is a Jesuit priest who is in jcharge of the press office. He cannot bear the temptation to mouth off even knowing the AP is going to headline this as if it is more important than the Papal stance on (against) abortion.

Let’s test thei veracity by seeing what the AP d heads say this coming Tuesday, the 40 year commemoration a day DECLARED by the Vatican as a day of prayer for legal protection of the unborn.

Let’s see what the AP says about how many tens and orhundreds of thousands come out on a cold January day for the March for life.

They will not talk about it and certainly not how many young people are out there and tey will not quote the vatican press office.

From Wiki:

Upon assuming the directorate, Lombardi said he would not be a papal “spokesman” since he believes Benedict XVI does not need an interpreter, saying, “I don’t think my role is to explain the Pope’s thinking or explain the things that he already states in an extraordinarily clear and rich way.”[3] He is considered to be taking a more low-key approach than his predecessor.[

Both Mr. Obama’s Christian name and the Barak of the bible derive from the Semitic word root corresponding to which the Hebrew is “baruch.” It’s a root meaning “blessed.” Of course the Muslim idea of “blessed” is damned screwy.

I will say the cat herding finally required an American PR guy, but he must have been out of town, or given up and quit.

Since this antichrist stuff is Satan’s puppet show, who knows the exact details. The teleprompter certainly would make any sane society declare that he who leans on it is a puppet. I am skeptical it will turn out to be Mr. Obama himself — rather, I get the idea he is serving more as a sort of anticipatory figure or forerunner, an anti-John the Baptist to the Antichrist.

I do not care what the vatican has to say about anything.

The number of deaths by gun are thug on thug and couldn’t care less.

You wouldn’t change the homicide rate of non thugs my a measurable amount if there were no guns.

Cain killed Abel without the benefit of a gun and so it continues to this day.

Besides, “What am I? My brothers’ keeper?”

Hey, one can presume the Obama voters were the low info voters the pollsters claim them to be. After all, they’ve been describing the inauguration, before it has even occurred. That’s low on info.

If they are a body claiming to be Christian, and simply as an influential body, I “care” — not in the sense that I would fall in line with it, but that it’s an entry in the marketplace of ideas that will force itself to be dealt with.

Or mighty presumptive of them.... I’m not jumping on you ma’am for using the expression, I’m remarking on the appearance of the expression. Three times it’s popped up in dissimilar contexts on various conservative commentary forums.
