I just called my son, who has a Bushmaster, and shoots lots of .223, and he says that it is extremely unlikely that any .223 slug would have remained in the body of any child.
So, how would anyone be able to say that any were shot with .223?
I’m beginning to think that the government may involved in a conspiracy that uses tactics such as posting things like “an AR15 wasn’t used to kill those kids at Sandyhook” on conservative(and firearms) forums for the purpose of damaging the credibility of 2nd Amendment supporters.
NBC news reported it on December 21st (Friday Night News Dump). The video of it being reported is all part of this YouTube video describing several other inconsistencies. Some I agree with, others I do not.
Apparently, they are now trying to CYA that it was slipped in when nobody was watching and was never reported again until after they got “The Beast’s” 23 EO’s signed.

“So, how would anyone be able to say that any were shot with .223?”
#1 - They can measure the entry wound to determine the caliber of the bullet, even if it passed through.
#2 - If it did pass through, the bullet or fragments are still going to embed in something, if they don’t lose so much energy that they simply bounce off the wall and fall to the ground. They can recover those bullets and fragments from the crime scene to determine the caliber.
#3 - There are shell casings littering the crime scene which can corroborate determinations based on the above two methods.
Yep, count me in as a believer in that conspiracy. There are several people posting those types of comments with recent sign up dates who are probably Obot trolls looking to delegitimize the opposition.
First, the wound diameter for .223 and .22 will be identical, as far as any medical examiner could determine.
Second, the site debris is not likely to be known by the ME, because such info is commonly witheld to protect the credibility of the evidence.
Third, it is even less likely that any investigator would produce any summation for public consumption with so much detail.
Yes. My guess too. Good call.
While I’m sure they’ll get around to it in time, why is it any better that they focus on banning handguns as opposed to “assault rifles”?
They should post pics of all the weapons. It’s not like there will be a trial.
I’m wondering if the weapon used might have been the shotgun... Remember that the ME said everyone had been shot multiple times, and size #F shot is .22 and indistinguishable from .223.
correction - “...and wound size would be indistinguishable...”
That video has 2 million more views than this time yesterday. AT 10M I would say it has gone viral.
My first question is who is the guy that is described by a witness starting at 1:41 as someone who was handcuffed, dressed in camo, and is now sitting in the “front” of a police car?
True, if you are talking strictly about how the ME could determine the caliber if the bullets had all passed through, then not all of my suggestions apply. I was speaking more of the investigation as a whole, how it could be determined by any means.
I did forget to mention one other possibility. Even if the bullet passes completely through, there may be microscopic debris from the bullet in the wound, and that could be analyzed molecularly to tie it to a particular brand of ammunition.
NO, Fox was citing "the Feds" as their source for the AR 15 being found in the trunk.
I heard it several times.
I don't have the clip but I heard him say the same thing.
There still has to be an investigation, since there was a homicide. That happens whether they think there will be a trial or not.
Also, many people are speculating about other shooters. They must investigate that possibility, if only to rule it out. If, in the course of their investigation, they determine there were other shooters, then there well could be a trial. Until they complete the investigation, it is foolish to rule out that possibility.
i believe Rodia was stopped elswhere for a vehicle infraction...scanner audio records all pd traffic not just sandy hook..
That M.E. is some weirdo, seem to chuckle to himself a couple of times. ...he does seem drunk.
How would the shotgun be used if it was locked in the trunk of the car? That fact makes it seem pretty unlikely to me.
Also, wouldn’t there be shotgun shells littering the crime scene, rather than .223 casings?
The wounds would not be indistinguishable either. The diameter of the entry wound might be similar, but not all of the shot is going to pass through the victims, some of it will most definitely remain embedded, because shot has low penetration. So, if they had been shot with a shotgun, the ME would have been pulling shot from the wounds, and there would be no mistaking them for .223 wounds.
