Well let’s not forget about the secret service presence there too. No matter how you slice it, the security is heavier than most any other public school or other public venue - ehh?
True. The president’s kids will have high security wherever they go.
“Yes, Sidwell has light security (apart from the added presence of the Secret Service due to the Obama girls). So what? “ - Sphinx
The left ridiculed the NRA for proposing a light armed presence at public schools. Absolutely ridiculed the NRA for proposing what is routine at the the private schools that the liberal elites use.
It (the Alinksi ridicule) was on at least 10 national “news” shows after the proposal by the NRA. Then, when the hypocrisy of the left is pointed out - Liberals claim ‘how dare you.’
And you support them, the liberals, in their smears with ‘so what if they want armed guards - there really aren’t that many, and they pay for them.’ (paraphrased)
Do you even get what is going on here?
That Obama is an elitist and a hypocrite goes without saying. The Census Bureau tracks school spending and reports that DC now spends over $29,000 per student in DCPS (2010 figures, published this past summer), yet Obama opposes school choice and consigns tens of thousands of mostly poor, mostly black students to dysfuntional schools.
THAT’S why sending his own kids to Sidwell is a scandal.
They went to private school in Chicago as well. No riff-raff allowed near Barack’s girls, no sir.
You can use a simple concept that works in most instances. It’s called and Entry Control Point. Funnel all visitors to one single point of entry. All you need is a Rent-A-Cop to check IDs and sound the alarm. They will be the first ones to get popped but that is an occupational hazard.
A desk, a uniform, a big panic button and some signs are all you need.
thanks for the clarification... dc does have it’s problems.. more so than some... I wonder where all that money goes that could improve the community?
