Let us have a law, and make it a Constitutional Amendment if necessary, for obvious reasons, which mandates the death penalty for people who use a firearm to commit certain felonies for crimes like murder, attempted murder, forcible rape, "white slavery" (forcing females into prostitution), kidnap, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer or another person. Maybe some more can be added. Further, the execution, by firing squad, must take place no later than one year from the day of conviction, and an appeals panel must only decide if the evidence proved that the person was in fact the one who committed the crime. And even further, being drunk, on drugs, sudden "heat of passion," and diminished capacity or personalty disorders shall not be defenses to the crime. Let's see how they respond to THAT. But I pretty much know what they would do.
From what I have been reading, given the choice of having armed teachers or a room full of dead students, I believe the anti gunners would take the room full of dead students. THERE, I SAID IT!
I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I have been so distraught about with happened in CT I have not been listening to the radio or watching TV. I hope better days are ahead for our Country.

What would happen if our side in the House just said or did nothing. What if we just waited until the debt ceiling came up again and refused to sign on.
Are there any repercussions other than the DBM will hate us and raise holy hell?
If not why don’t we just do it?
It would guarnattee a balanced budget and solve a myriad of problems that will never be solved as long as we keep trying to negotiate with people who lie cheat and steal.
