They should hang him instead.

His weight would actually contribute to a quick death.

That brings to mind the case of Saddam Hussein's half-brother Barzan Ibrahim al-Hasan al-Tikriti. As recorded in the Wikipedia:

On January 15, 2007, he was hanged for crimes against humanity. The rope decapitated him because wrong measurements were used in conjunction with how far he was dropped from the platform.

So, I guess you could say, Saddam's half brother ended up as two quarter brothers.
