And Mom and Dad have always been kind enough to send New Braunfels Smokehouse sausages and Pitttman and Davis citrus to my foresaken posting here in Pennsylvania.

The Salt Lick BBQ was good, but not exceptional.

Son lives in Austin and highly recommends Franklin Barbecue. http://franklinbarbecue.com/ He also notes that John Mueller's new place is highly promising John is the grandson of Texas barbecue icon Louie Mueller of Taylor, TX. http://jmuellerbbq.com/ Finally, Snow's Barbecue over in Lexington is said to be the very best of them all. http://www.snowsbbq.com/ Read 'em...and drool. Just for lagniappe, let's go back to Lockhart... http://www.smittysmarket.com/ To get the real flavor of the joint, you need to click "Next" until it takes you to the back room and the pit. It's been there for a while...

Would you be specific

I can't be more specific than this:

Preliminary reports showed that there were fewer GOP votes cast in this election than the last one in '08.

Turns out this is untrue.

You are the one who is unclear about what you are disagreeing with.

Well if you fully agree with post 77 then we are on the same page and in agreement

Romney got roughly the same number 59m, and 59m as McCain in 2008, meaning that in 2012, Romney left millions on the table against Carter the II.

2008 was an election that we couldn’t win.

2012, was an election that we couldn’t lose.

Romney was a disaster.

The problem is not so much that the evangelical voters did not vote for him, to the extent that they voted. The problem is that many of them did not vote. It may be that they could not stomach voting for him because he did not represent his values. But if so, it was a foolish move politically. I firmly believe the result of this election is that the social conservative movement is dead, as a viable force in Washington. Evangelical voters will continue to vote for the guy who is or pretends that he’s a social conservative, but no one—not Romney or anyone else—will be able to deliver on the conservative social agenda. Barack Obama will make sure of that by stacking the Supreme Court with social liberals who will put an end to the conservative agenda.

I do think that a lot of it was just that the social conservatives either decided that they could not support a Mormon or that Romney did not share their values, and they just decided not to vote.

Since that didn't happen, your posts are nonsense.

Romney couldn't win any of the 2008 Obama voters is what happened.

I think it did happen, and in fact, there were a lot of posters on the Freerepublic who were very vocal in making the point that they would do just that.

The Evangelicals showed up and they voted 79% for Romney, so it sure wasn’t them, Romney just couldn’t win over people like moderates and disgruntled Obama voters from 2008.

Romney has always been a loser in campaigns, 2012 was just typical Romney results.
