Regret double post. Blankety-blank iPad.
:)
I once had a Top Secret Clearance.
I never saw such abuses of clearances as we are seeing now.
I remember sitting at a bar not far from base and having people questioning me in a nonchalant manner, and I was expected to report them. Got in trouble if I didn’t because security agents were testing us.Don’t we have people checking up on clearances these days?
Seems covering ones own ass and political aspirations are more important than our national security these days. I’ve held a security clearance as well and you didn’t open your mouth lest you would be pulled in for questioning and possibly charged with treason if the leaked information was too damaging or got someone killed. Seems like the president doesn’t have to play by the same rules and is exempt. I’m sure there are some Seal team member’s parents that are mad as hell about “leaks” that appear to have come from the WH for “political reasons” that got their sons killed.
