You are older than you think, says Yoda.

May you always stay on the Brightside, never succumb to the Darkside, and keep wielding your Lightsaber of Truth.

You have just begun a journey of many Episodes, coming to a political theater near you, and at FR.

May the Force be with you!

Nicely done, people will start to realize what they have done by re-electing this un-American president.
Americans apparently need more pain before they learn - Just wait until employers start dropping healthcare and just pay the 0bamacare fines.

It’s final. We lost.

I stopped right there.

Just kidding. Good essay and a good 40k foot view. There are people who have forgotten what TEA stands for and let the left redefine it. TEA is the radical middle in American tradition. Big government cannot be conservative. Cut the government first and then we won't have to listen to Planned Parenthood radio commercials every ten minutes paid for with our tax money (e.g. the Romney bashing commercials of the last election)

Well done and welcome. Have to keep on doing what we can to win next time. Personally I am in favor of ending the GOP and forming a Conservative Party of America.

In Regards to Tuesday

It’s final. We lost. Over the last eighteen months, we have fought the good fight and we have done our best to spread the message of smaller government and fiscal sanity.

We did not lose this election to President Tee Time. We lost this election to a class of politically ignorant Americans. This is the group of people that pays little, if any, attention to politics until the first debate or even later. These are the people that get their news from the likes of Brian Williams, Matt Lauer, and Jon Stewart. The people that waste their time watching E! and Dancing With the Stars. These people simply do not care enough about the future of this country to wake up and pay attention to what is going on around them. They vote based on a combination of “White Man’s Burden” and worthless social issues that will never change.

The twelve million Americans that are unemployed and underemployed do not matter to these people because these people get their paycheck at the end of the week. The senseless murders of Brian Terry, Glenn Doherty, Tyron Woods, Chris Stevens, and Sean Smith don’t matter to these people because there are either too selfish or too incompetent to see or understand anything beyond their daily lives.

I love my country and I thank God every day that I get to live in a place where we have the chance to elect our leaders. With that being said, I don’t understand the logic behind reelecting Barry. Just looking at his record over the last four years shows what will happen over the next four. We are looking at four more years of out of control debt, reckless spending, ballooning deficits, and budgets that nobody on either side of the aisle will vote for because they are that unimaginable. The gridlock in congress will be like nothing that we have ever seen before. This man will use his “executive privilege” to bypass the congress completely and push through his radical agenda. That is just one of the things that we have to fear with four more years of an Obama presidency.

First off, John Kerry is on the short list of being the next face of US foreign policy. Yes, this is the same John Kerry that “won” three Purple Hearts. As if America is not already the laughing stock of the world after the turnout yesterday, Barry wants to make this man the face of all things American. At least Hilary Clinton is somewhat competent, but she can’t stay on because she has her own political future to worry about. It seems Obama is more concerned with surrounding himself with a series of “yes” men instead of men who are actually capable of solving the problems facing this nation.

The other potential problem facing us is the Supreme Court. Barack could have the chance to appoint at least three, maybe four justices to the court in the next four years. Two conservatives, Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy, are seventy-six. The liberal justice, Ruth Ginsburg is seventy-nine and the liberal justice, Stephen Breyer is seventy-four. The appointment of one justice in the place of one of the court would tip the balance of the court to the left. Thus, we would lose the court for the next ten to twenty years depending on the president. If you thought Justices Kagan and Sotomayor were bad, just think of the justices Barry can appoint without having to answer to the electorate.

Now, it’s time to call out the Republican Party.

The Republican Party has failed us once again. They forced us to settle with a candidate for the second election in a row. I had no problem after he won the primary and I think he would’ve made a decent president, but after losses in two straight elections I believe that it is time to stop with the establishment candidates. It is obvious that these establishment Republicans are unelectable. In 2008 and 2012, we settled for an establishment, old guard Republican and we lost. In 2010, we nominated non-traditional Republicans around the country and won in a landslide. What does this tell us? It tells us that people are tired of the traditional GOP.

Social issues have a place, but right now, a platform focused on traditional social issues won’t win elections. The Republican Party needs to adopt a Rand Paul style platform of small government, true fiscal conservatism (which means a total rejection of Keynesian Economics and a return to the Austrian School), and state’s rights. We can be the party of morality and acceptance. This is just simply telling people, “Hey I disagree with you on moral and religious grounds, but our country is facing bigger problems. Let’s fix it.”

The Republican Party can truly make a comeback in American politics, but first it must re-examine itself. Although I hate the term “progress,” sometimes, a progression of beliefs is a good and healthy thing. This term, much like the term liberal, has been adopted by the American left and subsequently branded with a negative connotation. If the Republican shifts and adopts a more libertarian ideology, it will be an unstoppable force. When it boils down to it, Americans just want to be left alone and allowed to control their own lives.

It was a hard fought campaign and the results did not come out the way we wanted them to, but we can turn things around. Together we can take this country back. Together we can restore this great nation to the original principles of our founding fathers. Together we will make America a beacon of freedom for centuries to come. God bless America!

*NOTE*

Somebody that reads this will probably take offense to the terms I used when describing the president. Frankly, I don’t care how offended you are. I hold nothing but respect for the office of the presidency. The current occupant of the office is both a disgrace to his forty-three predecessors and to our nation as a whole. If this truly offends you, get over it!
